Arsenal defender Sol Campbell is in talks with Sunderland over a potential move, according to Sky Sources.
The veteran centre-back spent the second half of last season at the Emirates club, marking his second stint with the Gunners, but the short-term contract runs out this summer.
Now a free agent, 35-year-old Campbell has already been linked with moves to Newcastle and Celtic.
But Sky Sources understands the former England international could make a switch to the Stadium of Light after entering discussions with the Black Cats.

Just read on sky sports news site that Sol Campbell is in talks with Sunderland about moving to the club. Really hope he see's sense and choose's to sign for Celtic.

he has stated celtic must show intentions regarding europe so if he then chips up and signs for scumderland then we are better off without him tbh

 

he'll go to Sunderland - he has a house down there and he has been waiting for an offer like that imo. Good luck to him - i won't say anything nasty about Sunderland seeing as we have a couple of there fans on here

Bit annoyed with this tbh! Made a * out of Lennon and Celtic in general tbh! Said in an interview that he wanted to 'respect' the clubs and personnel involved and from what I have seen, there hasn't been an awful lot of respect shown to us!

so just because he is having talks with sunderland doesn't mean he'll sign for them, he is entitled to look around and take what he feels is his best option, ledley done the same so just cos we had him up here didn't mean he would automatically sign for us

 

Should let him go.. he's a good player and defender but has no respect for any club or player, walked out on Notts County and then walked out on his team at half time he's a quitter when the going gets tough.

 

he's pulled a ginola....i said he was doin it weeks ago...never had any intentions of degrading himself by playin in the sphell

 

this lad is just looking for the best deal if he goes then fair do's this is money driven all the way

will be very dissapointed if he chooses sunderland instead of us, especially after what he said about europe .. we'll wait and see what happens there may be more to this story to come but celtic could really do with a rock at the back like sol pushing people around

 

With each passing day i get far less interested in the Campbell deal happening TBH. Fair enough if he wants to be respectable and listen to any other club's offers...but why the * should we have to wait until he gets married and has a honeymoon before we get a decision? Scrap it and go for someone else, get them in before our champions league qualifiers.

 

unless Lenny fancies Ramis i doubt it will happen as it was Mowbray's target, not his
