Wow, I think some are yous are taking this to heart. How reliable is the sourse that is keith jackson.....would trust kieth chedwin more....and i dont care if he had that tape recorder in that car as they were trying to drive away!!! Do you honestly think hes telling jackson that wants celtic to show their ambitions....doubt it.

Bottom line is, we dont know whats going through his mind, this is his last career move, so i guess he is checking every club that asks for him. I think some of the comments made about him are a discrace!!!!

and if yous really think that Neil Lennon is going to wait a month for his answer yous must be daft. yes Lennon wants him but not bad enough to risk losing out on other targets.

he called demerit because there wasn't anyone better than him available in the states. they give up goals by the bushel in the first 10 minutes of every game and the rubbish defending is obviously why. the guy is slow, smallish and doesn't have great instincts on the ball. that said gary caldwell thinks he should be getting 20k/week. he's looked good on occasion because of the bunkering style of play that bradley plays. this guy is not the answer, sorry.

Folk slate the board for allegedly not spending enough money then suggest big sol is trying to squeeze cash out of us. Priceless.

Lawell is not a guy to be squeezed or buckle under fan pressure.

Think to many people have the green tinted spectacles on :) The guy is entitled to take his time to make his decision, this is probably the team he will end his football career with and he wants to make as much money before his career is over....anybody with a brain would do the same.

Just because he came to parkhead for a tour and didnt come walking out with a celtic scarf, celtic hat and waving a celtic flag does not mean he is insulting or disrespecting the club.

He is not going to play in the champs league qualifiers anyway so really there isnt any rush over this one....lennon needs to keep his eye on all his other targets and make sures he gets them on board and just allow this one to run its course...

The ones getting annoyed and hurling abuse at him are the ones who deep down really want him to sign..... ;)

This transfer is really starting to annoy me. I think Sol would be a great signing for us but we shouldn't be getting * around like this. For * sake - he went to Notts County last season.

We were very close to signing Ramis during the last window and we could probably get him for £2-3 million so why aren't we pursuing this avenue. If we then get Sol that's a bonus. Cenre-half is definitely an area we need to strengthen.

One thing Sol was spot on about. Now is the time for Dermot to show his ambition for Celtic by putting deals on the table that make it impossible for Campbell, Bullard, Ledley and Keane to turn us down. Only by signing players of this calibre are we going to make it into the CL and progress to last 16 and beyond.

It is only 6 years since Porto won the CL with a few really good players and then a solid remainder of a squad. If we could get in some real quality then who know how far we can go. Not saying we can win it but at least we should be able to compete.

SOL NOT TOTALLY SOLD ON CELTIC

Sol Campbell challenged Celtic to prove to him that they are fully committed

SOL CAMPBELL last night challenged Celtic to prove to him that they are fully committed to becoming a major force in Europe again.
Just hours before ex-Aberdeen man Charlie Mulgrew tied up his free transfer to the Hoops by agreeing a three-year deal last night, Campbell held talks over a two-year contract at Parkhead.

However, he left without signing and insists he'll have further discussions with Arsenal and two other clubs before deciding his future.

Campbell has been offered a 12-month stay at the Gunners after seeing his contract there expire and has previously stated he would like to strike a deal with boss Arsene Wenger after returning to the club in January.

The towering centre-half refuses to be rushed, but did tell Express Sport that he wants to fix himself out with a new club before his July 17 wedding.

And he says he needs hard proof that the Hoops want to have a proper go at succeeding in Europe after last term's massive disappointments. He said: "We have to see where the club wants to go, really."I think they know that they are going to win the league or finish second."It is really going to be dependent on where they want to go in Europe."Celtic is a massive club and they should have that kind of mentality."I am sure they will."

Campbell knows Celts have nothing like the cash available to top clubs south of the border, but he insists that should not lead to a lack of ambition at Champions League level. Celts are really stepping up their movements in the market and hope to seal a deal with South Korean full-back and free agent Cha Du-Ri later today.

Mulgrew, out-of-contract after severing links with Aberdeen, has agreed to return to the club he quit for Wolves in part-exchange for Lee Naylor back in August 2006.

Talks are on-going with other targets such as Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard, Stoke winger Liam Lawrence and Nottingham Forest's Kelvin Wilson with an £800,000 offer having been made for Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy.

I couldn't give a toss about Arsenal, Campbells wedding or indeed his honeymoon. What I do care about is our Champions League qualifiers, and to be perfectly honest, I have no idea why you or any other Celtic fan for that matter would see anything differently. What's more important to you? Our new centre half out there battling for a place in the Champions League, or out holding hands with some batt-your-eyelids-and-open-your-knickers-tart buying tat on some tourist trap resort that these cultureless, london-centric twats pretend to enjoy while at the same time complaining 'that it's not like the West End'?

What absolutely * galls me, is that this * has the temerity to question the clubs commitment to european football in the press, while he engineers terms to sit out these very games himself.
