Of course it is all over.

The pressure is off for the return leg so hopefully we can go out there and put in a good performance for the traveling support.

Modern day would have to be Henrik...
Ye never know - go at them, stay solid at the back - I will be watching it hoping we go through, optimistic that we can make a decent fist of it. I certainly won't be tuning in thinking "This is a waste of time because we are already out"

It's not over although it will take something extraordinary to get us back in the tie. But if we manage to get an early penalty and the Juve player is sent off for a professional foul or deliberate handball on the line then we're right back in it, it sounds a lot to ask for but it's not impossible.

It's not a waste of time because we still have pride to play for.

The tie is over as a contest though, if anything they'll beat us 3-0 again.

Football is a crazy game anything can happen.

Obviously the odds are stacked against us but they usually are all the time, so just go out and play as though the tie is still 0-0 and who knows.

Liverpool were on the same level as AC Milan though. We'll be lucky to win 1-0 over there, never mind by 3.

I just hope we boot them about the park. The players made themselves look pathetic by letting themselves be pushed about by the Juventus players.

Juve made themselves look pathetic by resorting to pushing tactics. We out played them through the whole game.

Liverpool scored 3 in like 10 mins in the second half in Istanbul. We have 90 minutes. Anythings possible.

We've still got a minimum of 90 minutes football left! Let's all enjoy every second we have :)

The players should have pushed back, had they done that it would have stopped. Instead, they stood and took it.

Had they done that they would have no doubt got themselves sent off. The ref was booking our players for being shoved, can you imagine if we had started fighting back?

last time we won 4_0 away in europe (proper not qualifying round) was back in 95 or something... when we defeated the mighty Dinamo Batumi

think we also beat some welsh team 4-0 away but it can't have been much of a team as i can't even remember their name ... probably a qualifier

i will settle for a win of any description in the return... TKO, last man standing, or that Swiss * getting nutted. Can we have padding added to the goalposts like they have in real wrestling matches ?

As I said in another thread, we got hit by a bad combination of opponent & official. If you watch the Juventus game against Fiorentina at the weekend you'll have seen Lichtsteiner do the exact same thing. Teams in Italy always have a man protecting the goalkeeper at corners and set-plays.

They stand with their arms out shielding the 'keeper so he can make a clear run & jump for the ball if it comes near him, that's how it works. It's unfortunate for us that this kind of thing also happens in Spain, which just so happens to be where the official comes from, so he's used to seeing it happen on a regular basis, and won't have seen anything wrong with it.

It's for this reason that you normally find a striker who can score goals regularly in either Italy or Spain has a field day in the English or Scottish leagues. Our defending is virtually non-existent in comparison, so Italian and Spanish strikers find themselves going from having a defenders on top of them to having tons of space.

Get an early.goal, sneak another by the half and the second half will be very very interesting. Commons over head kick will be in this time, and his shots won't be at bufon. This tie ain't over. A bit of luck on our sides and we would have been 3-0 up at half time.
