I know they're decent players but that's so uninspiring to a casual fan

I'd exclude Bingham from that list, on his day he's fuciin phenomenal.

I think Wilson can be too, I just find it a bit of a boring line up.

Something missing with Wilson for me. Talented boy but no got the dig you need to get to the top. Bingham has got it all just no consistently enough. He's looking like he can win it again this year.

Dreadful line up for the semis.

Don’t get the downbeat attitude. Those guys earned their spot and it’s an opportunity for a big outsider to win it. Jak Jones or Dave Gilbert as world champion would be an incredible achievement.

Hard to see past Wilson now though. He’s had a phenomenal record at the worlds for years without ever getting it done. Maybe the pressure of knowing what a great chance this is will get to him though.

Don't think there's any way Bingham doesn't win it this year. None of the others come anywhere near his level of match play. Whack the mortgage on it troops.

Great to see Jones getting back into this at 3-2. Looked destined for a 7-1 or 8-0 deficit at one stage.

4-4, massive win for Jones considering Bingham was 3-0 up with an easy blue frame ball to make it 4-0.

Quite fancy Jones to be in the final now. Other semi is very tough to call as well. Gilbert v Jones final very much a possibility.

Missed a lot of this today so been going on what I already know about the players still left in it. Would still fancy Bingham to be too strong over the piece for all of them but must admit Jones and especially Gilbert have looked solid at times the last couple of weeks.

Exciting stuff regardless man, will get the chance to watch most if it tomorrow and just hoping for some good snooker and tons. Been a * year for them so far.

Wide open games mate, wouldn’t begrudge you a shout on Bingham to win it but I do think Jones will beat him now that he’s shaken off the early game nerves.

Far less centuries this year but that’s been down to really tight pockets which I like. Found it very annoying in recent years when balls along the rail dropped in despite hitting the cushion half a foot before the pocket. There’s been none of that at all this year.

That's a good point about the pockets, I do remember last year now you mention it, was * ridiculous at times.

Just want to see some * go on a good run of high breaks and play well, no been enough of it so far.

I’m very much a casual snooker fan and I’ve not see much of that David Gilbert but he seems very impressive.

Nice action and a good temperament.

First massive blip from Gilbert there. Wilson missed a black off the spot on a 51 break and looking sure to win the frame. Gilbert got down to the colours, needed up to the pink to win and missed an easy yellow. Got another chance and missed a brown you’d expect him to get 8 or 9 times out of 10. 11-9 Wilson now, first two frame lead of the match for either player. Real body blow to Gilbert and that might be the beginning of the end for him now.

Youth shining through over experience right now. I think Jones may well run away with this now. 12-9 up on Bingham. Can’t help but go back to that simple frame ball blue that Bingham missed for 4-0. Don’t think Jones would’ve come back from that.
