    Christian Purslow has a business background and knows sweet * all about football. That's the only reason why SG got the job.

    CP worked with him at LFC, saw he won the league with der hun, and thought he was worthy of the AV job.

    Even though it was obvious to everyone that Beale was the brains behind everything half decent that SG did.

    He basically bankrupted the Huns again to win one title, and that only happened because of our implosion during the completely unprecedented covid situation.

    He’s the reason despite champions league money and player sales they can’t afford any players.

    He’s a truly * manager and he knows it. A complete fraud. He was one game away from the sack before covid and when he got his second chance he moved completely to one side and let Beale do everything.

    Beale was an irreplaceable part of that management team, no doubt, but the the unit they had as a management team was good. Gerrard absolutely knew what Beale’s tactical and training could elevate him to, and that’s good awareness as a manager to get a backroom team to make your weaknesses into a strength. And Gerrard with that in his corner, is somebody who will make players run through brick walls for him.

    However take the brains out that team, then it show’s majorly. It reminds me of Lennon with Parker for tactics and Mjallby for the defence behind him, it worked. Without it, it was rudderless and baffling.

    That’s what Gerrard is but not as good as Lennon either. Makes me wonder what Eddie Howe’s team does for him.

    The only thing I wish was watching his face after one of these angeball 4-0 drubbing. However he sulked out at the first sign of trouble so never got to enjoy that reality. Hope he gets hit by a bus

    The freak season where they had 1 case or covid all season(on an already injured Helander i think). No reds(they got a few retrospective reds for games they were struggling in and avoided blatent reds) , no pens against. No SNP looking to punish them but actually congratulating them when they had sone rogue players breaking lockdown.
    They really did get lucky that season.
