Has Eddie O'Sullivan finally seen the light? Finally Jackman and Heaslip get a proper chance - although, having said that, it would have been much better if they got some good game time against Italy last weekend to really get them in the mood for international rugby. Kearney on the left wing is a good move, although keeping Geordan "Bonecrusher" Murphy in the side ahead of either Tommy Bowe, Shane Horgan (my favourite player, when he's not on the angry pills that is) or Luke Fitzgerald is an absolute joke. Looking forward to the match a bit more now. Still, as 'eire4' stated, it could get ugly.

I would love to be way wrong but I am not holding out too much hope that I will be. France look very good and our record in Paris is, well it's *.

Scotland were awful last weekend. When we missed the penalty and then they scored a try straightaway to make it 17-3 instead of 10-6 that was the end of the match. Really disappointed as i thought we had a chance this year. It's the same old story with our backs being useless, our pack was matching the French and doing its job.

That was a waste of 40 quid.

I only saw the highlights of the Scots match but the management seemed to make some strange decisions...taking off the 2 second rows who i thought were doing well..
Think ye do have a very good pack there but Hadden needs to play to the strengths of the team and not try and match teams like France in champagne rugby style ...
Just good old fashioned 10 man rugby the Munster way would be the best way to go imo..
O and Henderson in the centre is pretty bad hat trick agin us aside

I agree. Scotland have a really solid scrum and lineout and in Parks and Paterson they have two top class kickers of the football. Just play good, solid rugby and kick for the corners and let the set piece do the rest and then they'll be all right. Apart from the Lamont brothers, Scotland's outside backs are a load of * so giving them as little ball as possible to work with - and lose - may not be a bad thing in the long run.

Really hope Scotland beat Wales on Saturday. Don't want Wales thinking they're world beaters again, do we now?

Italy against England on Sunday should also be very interesting. If Italy win - which they've never had a better chance of doing - I'll be a bag of laughs for weeks!

Would love to see the Italians turn the English over this weekend. I don't see it happening but certainly the Italians are now a legit part of the 6 nations and on their day can win so who knows. Clearly they are still the weakest of the 6 but they have improved a lot and are no longer an automatic win.

Both teams - Wales and Scotland - got tonked last weekend so will have points to prove. Might just watch this if a night on the town doesn't take my fancy later on.

Not a bad few days of sport ahead. :50:

Looking forward to the Ireland v Scotland game tomorrow. Obviously a must win game for Ireland if we are to keep any hopes of winning the 6 nations alive.
