As UEFA is based in Nyon, Switzerland, I would not be surprised if they cut a deal with Sion:31: Hopefully not as I want us to be in Europe badly, but I feel sad we have to hope for to this instead of winning through properly.

If Sion are booted, how dumb will they be for fielding guys that they knew would be inelligible? :50:

We mightnt deserve to be in europe because of the way we've played recently but they shouldnt be in either if they cheat!:50:

    I'm not picky.
Ok so let me get this part straight just so I know (and it's late here in US so forgive if I get any of it wrong :icon_mrgreen:) - The Swiss FA brought up this all to Sion about the ineligible players but Sion tried (or did) take the Swiss FA to court about it and upon doing so involved UEFA and FIFA in it as well? So it's basically Sion all along then making up their own rules in it all by the sounds of it.

The thing is it's one matter to try and do something and fight it out with the FA of the country you play when you KNOW you're in the right (like Lennon's ban with the SFA - even though that didn't go to court we still fought it knowing we were right about it) but to try and do it the way Sion have done it is nothing sort of an insult, especially when they are in the wrong. It's a bit like you being caught on CCTV committing a crime, it being shown in court and you STILL denying it :43:

Surely to * with all this going on UEFA/FIFA have to rule against Sion then. There's no way they can allow them to get away with it, especially seeing as Platini himself said that Sion have broken the rules.

i think we should grab it with both hands. it would be a bit embarrasing being re-instated into the competition but ,

nothing UEFA does surprises me i wouldnt put it past them to fudge it

that said, they have been pretty vociferous in their criticism of sion and i doubt they took sions owner calling them "criminals" who should "go back to libya" in good humour! :56:

it does seem one of those rare occasions when soccer officialdom actually works in our favour for one :50: (i hope!)

Remember the Scotland v Estonia qualifier in the 98 World cup ?

Estonia refused to turn up at the match ,Scotland kicked off alone and then the ref blew the whistle.

The game should have been awarded to Scotland but UEFA ordered a replay which was drawn 0-0

Sion should be thrown out but anything can happen

don't get me wrong on this, i believe celtic should be reinstated and sion kicked out cos cheating is cheating, even if it was rangers in the same situation i'd be backing them 100%.. but the fact is uefa are not a reliable organisation on things like this, and you'd think the sfa would be putting pressure on uefa for a fair outcome but there seems to be not a lot of noise coming out of hampden on this and that concerns me. but saying that i hope im wrong and not all doom and gloom.
