    Thanks for the reply.

    >>The reason don't want to go into the rights and wrongs of war is the same reason I'm so against what happened today, this isn't the right medium to do so.<<

What happened today was very much a political act by Reid and his co-conspirators. I'm afraid the rights and wrongs are central to what went on. Simply put we should not be forced to honour en-masse a n organisation that has a sordid history used as a tool to keep us down and murder us should we not have the sense to do so.

    >>So because of one preiod in the history of the Army, you don't think its right to recognise the sacrifice made by hundreds of thousands in any other conflict?<<

800 odd years is a hellavu period, various imperialist wars, others aimed at just teaching the wogs a lesson. There was even a war aimed at forcing the Chinese to accept importation of Heroin ffs! WW2 and fighting fascism if anything has been the exception, so in essence I would have no problem honouring soldiers who fought in WW2.

What you missed however was the irony that the actions of the British army is the reason that many of our people were forced to move, and why many of us now live here. So when you say we should be grateful for their past sacrifices, we cannot have blinkers on and only remember the good bits.

    >>Yes I may have taken sides, but dont we all?<<

Who knows, maybe I mix in the wrong circles. However the knee-* pro-British bias exibited by the majority of commentaters here in no way reflects outside opinion from my experience. Should you claim to choose the side of the British over us at least make a choice predicated on pondering just why many of us hold the views we do. I am more than willing to have a debate, but fear the power of your new mates in the forces, will at present over come anything I might throw into the arena.

    Stay safe pal!

Absolutely. I wasn't at the game but from listening to this, to my ear, these fuckwits are definitely not outside the stadium, but inside.

My cousin, uncle and cousins husband are 3 of those '*' in Afghanistan, no need for that mate. Yes it partly is for the guys fighting in Afghanistan but they havent chose to go there, they signed up to fight for their country so they go where the army sends them.

Maybe you should learn to spell.

Those * as you put it are serving their country end of. If they are asked to fight they fight. Please remenber the families of all the soldiers killed some so very young.

Why should politics be constantly brought into football.
Its a game there are more important things going on.

Big Brother do that for legal reasons and they cut production sound, replacing it with library sound effects. Not the same thing.

    >>..make your own choices but others will make different ones<<

Hmmm, not sure that I will live my life scared of getting tore apart by the biased meedja. We have been wrongly accused of bigotry for ever, long before UEFA discovered bigotry in Scotland circa 2003. remember how no matter what atrocity, thuggery or even murder commited by the bluenoses we would always get it at the end of the article. And the green half of Glasgow are no better than Rangers..................Usually because we dared to sing Irish songs, some in support of an organisation fighting for a united Ireland. how dare we? I mean murdering 16 yr old kids for wearing a green scarf and supporting a peoples right to self determination are the same things. No? Ah(says you mibbes).......The IRA killed innocents as well, yep they did on occassion but that did not define their war. No more than it did the brits who despite murdering more non-combatants than all the Republican groups combined. Anyhow, the point stands that morally held views should not somehow be held captive to a system that always demands conformity.

I also take issue with your use of the word 'bigotry' Am I bigotted because I posit an argument against supporting Celtic exhibiting the poppy or not wishing to take part in a minutes silence for British soldiers. I certainly don't think so.

just an absolute disgrace. thats up there with the minority of rangers fan who continue to disgrace their club and country. sorry but witnessing that im slightly glad we didnt win today because quite honestly that was an act of inhumanity. sick and twisted. say what you want about irish politics or whatever I dont care. Hundreds of thousands of scottish lads lost their lives in the wars. Lads who played for and supported our great club. you are a vile piece of work if you disagree so dont give me it. HAIL HAIL to those who made the greatest sacrifice!

Soldiers join the Army and are sent to serve where ever the government sees fit. Wether they believe in it or not. But to refer to them as *, shocking ! I was born in Scotland, served in the Army for 14 years, served in N Ireland for 3 tours and helped search for and clear devices planted by both sides to kill, maim and injure the other side. Does that make me a * too ? Because Ireland means nothing to me, but i had to put my life on the line for the people there !

Dan Breen CSC is the name of my CSC.

I wouldnt agree with Dan Breen's * sympathies.

Just because I'm Irish or have republican views doesnt mean I agree with all the view of every other Irish republican that has an opinion.

West Britain would be Wales, I dont live in Wales, I live in Ireland :bbpd:

Download Google Earth and search for "Ireland", it will help you avoid making stupid comments in future :50:
