Ano Ano its from Etims but wouldnt put this past Lawwell

    E-tims story:

Duffy and BR spoke and he is happy to come. BR passes it to PL, who phones Blackburn and agrees a fee and agrees to send a written offer. The written offer was then not sent

It's not beyond the realms of possibility but I'd like to think if this was true Rodgers would walk away and expose PL.

I cant begin to think of what the backlash might be like if we dont manage to overcome Astana.

there was definitely contact between Rodgers and Duffy, so someone has * up. Said he was happy to come but would have had to take a pay cut.

    * * im seeing it all now...* need to calm down a little...we don't sign someone and all the rumours and made up bullshit starts flying.
Do you really think the club would go and get a manager like BR and then not give him funds to bring players in...really.

maybe it is like NL,RD and BR have said....club is trying...its tough but we do want to improve the quality and not just do a zombie fc and sign anything to please the fans.
Or are they all just yes men.........where is OG1.

I truly doubt BR has come here and is not going to have funds to find players.
Stop swallowing all the bullshit in the media and wait and see what happens.

No he didn't tell me he was coming to celtic, where did i say that?? He said he spoke to Rodgers last week. Said he didn't know what he was doing yet and that was it. But he has said he would want to play with Celtic before and another friend was chatting to him and he told him he would have to take a pay cut from what he was offered. Before you assume I'm talking bullshit I know him well but don't like doing his head in asking him for updates every other day.

Well you're first post is misleading, you made it sound like there was something happening rather than just chit chat.
Adding...someone * up when its more than likely not the case.

Well pardon me for being misleading : what i took from chatting to him and what others have been told by him or those close is that they couldn't come to an agreement i.e penny pinching again. He would like to play for Celtic so obviously something is holding him back. Surely we can match what Blackburn have been giving him.

I think this quality not quantity excuse is wearing thin. If we're struggling to find players that will "improve" the squad then we need to replace the scouts.

Definitely mate it's just a generic response that I'm fed up hearing. We've either got * scouts, not enough scouts, we aren't sending them far enough to find the players, or all of the above. I mean really of all the leagues in the world they're telling us they can't find a CB.

Love how we always seem to have folk who directly know all these random players we are linked with. More so every Irish or Scottish one.

I'm surprised our support isn't just made up of wags and best buds of every English speaking footballer.

Or maybe I'm the only one who doesn't have a best mate who convienelty happens to be the next pro footballer linked to celtic.

In all of the European 'shock' results of late we had one consistent problem - a manager (and i defended Ronny for the most part) who couldnt adapt a formation (this making us predictable) or a tactic when under the cosh (meaning that once a team got anywhere against us they KEPT getting the better of us). I wouldn't say that any of those teams was better than what we had, just that they played better together, on the days.

Hopefully, with Brendan in we'll not make such self-destructive mistakes and get the most out of the squad and its ability, which should see us through.

We were Jst beating by a team of joiners from Gibraltar, another case of a bad manager?i don't think so.The squad has lacked real quality in areas for years and again the board have failed to address it.
