Would have thought that was patently obvious. We are in the strongest financial position we have been in decades and have filled the squad with cheap *. Not difficult to work out, been quantity over quality for years and we’ve been getting away with it cos Scottish football is terrible, but we’ve been found out big style in Europe and domestically we have allowed the gap to close

A truly magical moment never to be forgotten and of course Boruc's PK save as well. Actually watched an old Celtic game against Aberdeen from 2007 yesterday and Naka scored with a brilliant free kick in that one as well.

From midfielder to midfielder, understanding each other becomes almost natural. Sharing the same area of the pitch means speaking a common language, made up of movements, strategies and intuitions that only those who have lived those experiences can understand. Also for this reason, but not only, Shunsuke Nakamura has chosen Parma Calcio and Fabio Pecchia for the refresher course of the coaching course that the former Reggina player (from 2002 to 2005) is following in Japan. A path that is leading him to immerse himself in the world of technical management of a European team, with the aim of enriching his professional background.

Two weeks of non-stop full immersion, guest in Collecchio, to observe the work of the yellow-blue coach and his staff, who know the Japanese championship well having, in the 2018-2019 season, led the Avispa Fukuoka, a team from the city of the same name (the current staff included with Pecchia, the athletic trainer Marco Antonio Ferrone and the goalkeeping coach Valerio Visconti). One more reason that led Nakamura to want to spend the refresher period at the Mutti Training Center in Collecchio to watch Parma up close and a specific objective: to try to steal the secrets of the coach's work.

During his internship, Nakamura observed every detail of the activities that Pecchia and his staff had the team perform, with particular attention to the management of training and the tactical approach of the team. But he did not limit himself to observing.

Because the former midfielder spoke daily with both Pecchia and the entire staff.

Pecchia knows Japanese football well, having also coached Avispa Fukuoka in his career. During my time here in Collecchio, both with him and with the technical staff, there were continuous dialogues to understand training methods, tactics, strategies, the type of training and the entire organization of Parma. I truly thank the club, and especially Pecchia, who has shown great availability. I asked him many questions and he gave me all the answers I wanted. This helped me a lot to understand. And I will never forget this ,” Shunsuke Nakamura emphasized before leaving Collecchio and Italy

It was not just an update for Nakamura, but an opportunity to fully understand the European working method and to acquire valuable insights to apply in his future coaching career. And Parma, with its history and its technical project, proved to be the ideal place for this experience
