stay put and fight for a better league. leaving shouldnt be an option no matter what tbh.and as this start from the bottom of the ladder * goes? no danger we have been there before when we 1st started and built a club from nothing to what it is today! and no * is taking that from us. NO *.

It will not happen. We need to look at alternative options.

This team wouldnt even do well in the championship but if look at it long term Celtic could be a premier league team in the top half, imagine the economic potential!!

Contentious point perhaps, but why should a team that has finished 2nd in their own league 3 years running, and now struggle to qualify for any european competition, be allowed or have the right to want to play in a better league? It is a big arrogant to assume we can jump the que over championship teams that are arguably as good or better than we are.

Perhaps years ago when we were champions league class and winning the league every year in Scotland, we had a bit of a point. But when you cannot beat such an awful rangers side for 3 years, I dont think you really claim that you need to play in a better league!

    Amen brother!

    :50:

Mind you... it shouldn't even come down to that.

Celtic. Are. A. Scottish. Club. End. of.

Why not La Liga, or Serie A... or would we just hold those options in reserve in case the excursion to English football didn't work out! SHEER * ARROGANCE and typical of the prawn-munching young Celtic fans who grew up on the success of the MO'N years! Success is not our divine right... it tastes so much sweeter when earned!

The minute you start jumping around just to suit your agenda, then the club will cease to be Celtic and will become a group of nomadic mercenaries chasing the big buck!

    where are we going ?
England aint gonna take us whilst we have a section of our fan base booing anything to do with the royals or backing the Irish republican army which detonated bombs in english towns and cities......we even have poppy issues......yeah the english will open their hearts and minds to us..........we aint going nowhere.....deal with it.

scotland is where we should be but investment in the league is just simply not there, i have no confidence that spl or sfl are capable of making any ground breaking changes to make the league better, if we go to england we should start bottom up, only fair really but would accept being thrown into the prem with open arms.

what i would like to see is a new league structure involving scotland, ireland and wales that is the way to go i feel this way the dying leagues can become strong as one and may then generate a much better pot of gold each season.

How did this question ever come about?
Can't just huff about a league we can't win and expect to just up sticks and leave.
    I don't understand it.
Scottish club, Scottish league. Deal with it.

Look lads,i'm from england and i don't support any scottish team. But my opinion for what it's worth is.Celtic and Rangers, and the other scottish clubs to a lesser extent have always had a anti english edge to them.Years ago maybe a chance of joining english football, but not now.England and the English people have woken up to the fact that the Scottish lead Labour government have treated them as second class citizens in their own country(uni fees, prescription charges, trust hospitals, human rights act(only for criminals, asylum seekers, terrorists, not for the english though).this in turn has fuelled the rise in English nationalism, and an antipathy towards the Celtic nations. You want independence,go for it we wont stop you.But i've digressed, the reason the English or English football wont have you or any scottish football club is because we now see Scotland,Wales and Ireland(north and the Republic)as foreign countries. As foreign as France or Germany.....so thats my rambled opinion.....thanks for reading.

If that were true, why is Swansea in the EPL (and Cardiff in the Championship)?

Case in point of my earlier post as I watch us lose to hearts. Lose to St Johnstone. Lose to a mid-table Swiss side, will likely lose to Hearts today, yet some believe we have a right to demand to move to a bigger and better league!

Leave it...lololololol...we can't even play it at the moment. When we can remaster the SPL then this question may have some weight. After today I just hope anyone other than rankers win the league this season.

Seems a really stupid question off the back of todays 'performance'!

And I don't just mean on the pitch... there's no way the national press would let us get away with belting out RA songs like we did today. Not a chance... they would bury us!

Yeah, let's go down and play Manchester United at Old Trafford now. That'll be fun.

Argument being, that if we were to be playing at OT (assuming we're in the EPL), we'd have the Sky money to bolster our squad with the likes of Friedel, Woodgate, Upson, Barton, Parker, Bellamy and Adebayor. All were readily available in the last window for nothing but wages (which we could afford) and would go a long way to making us a force to be reckoned with.
