But we dont play in Ireland either :86:

Seriously, isnt ever going to happen, and to be fair why should we have any right? We should we get to skip the que to the championship or EPL when there are many teams who have spent years trying to win promotion to these leagues. Why would UEFA ever allow it knowing that it would then have to allow Belgian team into France, Dutch teams into Germany, Portuguese teams into Spain, etc, etc. It would be a farce.

On a side note, I would actully support almost any move out of Scotland. I think it is the only way our club is ever going to grow and at the moment we are in decline. Just isnt going to happen

Got to just accept it and deal with it.
We should be looking to better Scottish football and it will take years but it has to be done, right from the bottom to the top.
    1. Less teams, less leagues
    2. Get kids playing football instead of chasing a size 5 ball on a big pitch and shooting into goals too big for them. It is really a joke. Especially since its jsut kids getting shouted at to "get intae them" and punting a ball about a park. Get the coaches better train the kids better.
    3. Better youth academies around Scotland, and maybe even an SFA funded reserve league. Games played on SAturdays when your first team are away, just like they used to do.

We're Scottish and should be looking to omprove our game rather than line our pockets or "sell our souls to the devil" as Scootz said. The game will eventually suffer in England and why would we want to be a part of that?

    Stay in Scotland.

I have no interest in playing in England's over-hyped * league. The EPL is a soul-less money making machine. And it would turn my stomach to think that Celtic were representing England in European competitions.

Agree that a move out of Scotland would probably initialise growth, although I think playing in some sort of weekly European hybrid league that has been suggested before, is untried and untested, and will mean the average supporter will find it hard to follow the club to away games. Considering the English option of course it would be great to play against the likes of Man u, Liverpool throughout a season, although I can't see how the F.A would sanction us to play in the EPL without working our way up from the low leagues.

The only way we are gonna be able to compete in Europe and attract the standard of player we deserve is by joining another league. Im aware its not that simple and im not saying we should join the English leagues, but a European league might work or even a British league. The scottish league is no use just now, it will take years to sort it out. How many would be willing to stew here if there were other opportunities available?

It wont happen now. We just have to accept that we are in SPL and the league is going to get worse than it already is.

Scotland is the home of our club. I believe we should stay here, but there's no doubt that more money needs to be injected into the game up here.

I'm not saying for a second that we should sell our souls like the English have done, but a bit more money to attract better quality players would be great. Even for the smaller clubs in the league, as it would bring better competition and Scottish football wouldn't have such a bad reputation.

I know it would be impossible to implement, but feel the only way out of this hole we're in would be to ban all overseas players, only way of forcing clubs to play young scottish players and could only benifit scottish football on the whole.

The fact is the SPL is a * little league run by huns. The SPL has been in decline for years, and unfortunatly no matter whatever changes are brought in it will continue to slide, there is little interest outside Scotland/Ireland.
If we want a decent future for our club we must get into a bigger league, hopefully the EPL. People on here slag the EPL off but we would be the biggest club in the world if we joined. For the future of our club its a no brainer. No one is saying we should move ground only the league.

A complete ban wouldn't be good. Countries like Spain, Germany have a foeign rule where you can only have like 8-10 foreign players in your team.
Foreign players bring in some technical abililty that can help our oyunger players develop.
Now that is something I think would be of great benefit for Scotland

What is the point of this stupid poll, it would suggest that the decision is ours when we know that is not the case nor will it ever be, I just can't see the point of it.

Very interesting poll - more than four times as many folk in favour of us leaving Scottish football than in favour of us staying. :50:
