Yes. Not because he lost the league this season, he has just taken us as far as he can and tbh our quality of football has been declining for some time now.

All the people saying no, do you really think Strachan is capable of coming back from this? All we needed was to win our last 2 games and we couldnt even score one goal, he cant motivate the players for that so i dont think he's capable of motivating them for the fight next season.

 

I agree that WGS has takin us as far as he can. If the board did actually give him a whack of cash to spend (unlikely) I wouldnt trust him to spend it wisely. Too many duds brought in and predictable, boring tactics every week.

He did a fantastic job when he came in but the whole club just needs a shot in the arm.

We should NOT have lost the league to that mob.

 

For me, I have alwasy been grateful for what he has done, but I have never liked his style of coaching, because it is too defensive and he doesn't know how to attack. Also his mentality has troubled me from the start of his time here, he is content to see celtic be just another SPL team, at one point he stated that he thought that most of the players in the SPL where just fine for Celtic which is a load of *, we need to stop being just another SPL team and go back to the days when teams where actually afraid to play at CP. I am also tired of his * arrogance when ever we lose, he has done nothing wrong or that the team was terrific when we lost to Aalborg or any other * team, I am starting to wonder who was at fault in that row with Mceady

thing is he's staying for at least another year no matter what the fans say right now. If he slips up again next year or does terribly through the first half the season maybe he'll be gone. I hope to * we do not again become the type of club that goes through managers on the fans' whim. Ask Newcastle how that has worked out for them.

 

a think a change of style is needed if hes willing to accept this then he should stay! But we cant go on like this its horrible to watch we need strikers so badly and we need quality even more i think that even tho naka is our best technical player trying to accomadate him in a 4 4 2 costs us hes gone jan has to go sorry hes tragic no other way about it and hopefully samaras that is a muppet of the highest order! Journey men like hartley, killen, donatti and naylor etc need to be let go!
A think some real investment is needed if we want to stand anychance of making the groups in the champs league and not costing us more money!

 

As a man who respects Strachan, I now think he has no choice but to go. His situation is beyond saving thanks to the crap way we have played for the past two seasons and the fact that some of our 'fans' and so called employees (Channel 67) don't want him. It's a sad ending for a good man who has done a great job, with limited finances and a remit to win. But let's look forward, eh? Levein or McGhee... who's gonna be better than Strachan?
