I've been his biggest fan on here but he hasn't been good enough. I nearly ate stones when he refused to roll a pass to Boerrigter for a guarenteed goal but instead went for glory.

We were playing with two strikers today, practically three, with Forrest just in behind Stokes and Commons. Who were being extremely selfish, was strange.

Anyway, it's a no for me. Commons has demonstrated he enjoys playing with him and he's involved in most of our good play going forward/goals.

It's 84 assists and goals he has. It's been proven. Not 88.

You said Stokes gets an easy ride basically.

All I have read today is people ripping into him.

Bangura and Brozek were both pish, simple as that really. Lassad was decent back up but was never going to be anything great. I don't think Lassad was better than Stokes. Watt obviously has an attitude problem that is hopefully in the process of being sorted out once and for all whilst he is in Belgium.

That goal against Barca clearly went to the lad's head and he thought he was better than he actually was, but he's still young and there's plenty of time for him to develop and mature.

You have a case for Balde and Pukki though, as I'd like to see them starting more games ahead of Stokes. On his day, Tony does bring a lot to the team, but he's not been showing it in recent months.

No, I think he was saying it would be nice for the Irish on here if he were scoring regularly :50:

The people that dont want him playing dont want him playing because he doesnt score goals. I can understand that but I think they dont see the full picture.

We are scoring for fun this season, if Stokes wasnt scoring and the team was struggling I could see the point in people criticising him but the team are scoring and he's playing a part in it.

People just want to see 25 goal a season strikers though, never thinking about the over all play. Some fans would probably prefer us to score 100 goals a season with 60 coming from the two main strikers than 120 goals a season but with only 40 coming from the 2 main strikers. Because they like to see prolific strikers.

Noone on this forum gets a easy ride mate. I meant on the pitch. I just find it really strange how he can be the first name on the teamsheet week in week oout when he never scores. What massage does that send to the other strikers?

NO other striker gets the chance, but Stokes could walk right into the eleven with both legs broke in half. What i meant with the irish connection is that i think its nice to have irish players in the team.

This is pretty much the way I see it, people complaining about strikers not scoring, when the full team is set up to get it from one of our attacking midfielders is odd. It's a bit like if AC Milan fans started complaining that Kaka was getting too many of the goals and more should be coming from the attack, back when Kaka was the best player in the world you know?

Same with Real Madrid, Ronaldo isn't a striker, whats our strikers up to?

People are acting as if Stokes is playing well but not scoring. He's playing * and not scoring.

Guys like Balde and Pukki are getting thrown on with ten minutes to go and doing more than Stokes.
