But...Derk is the one who won the ball. Did he think Derk just won the ball then stood there doing nothing? :smiley-laughing002:

    He does.

A * shitload of assists will attest to that.

Why do you insist on lying to make a point, get shot down and look * stupid in the process?

    I honestly don't understand.

He is the most greedy player in the current Celtic squad.

While he is a bit greedy at times, his assists record is very, very good.

Cut the guy some slack, he knows the fans are talking about needing a goalscorer so he get's a little greedy, when 9/10 times he would have passed it. When players are going through a rough patch they need our support not all this "Stokes is pish, get him tae *" ... that would never come into my head, even in the heat of the moment It's absolutely ridiculous, but will all be forgotten next week if he bangs in a goal vs the sheep.

    That's his real record:
    http://espnfc.com/player/_/id/71648/anthony-stokes?cc=5739

Not some * Opta clone Twitter account that even admits that it is not associated with Opta.

He has 84 goals and assists for Celtic.

Commons' is greedy but he certainly wouldn't shoot from some of the angles Stokes' shoots from, especially when there is players in space.

They're both as bad ad each other. I don't mind. I am just glad they're daring enough to take on the mantle of leaders in our team. The influence each ha ha on our club since being part of it is phenomenal.

He should be though, but so many players will go for own success even if they are aware of a player standing in a much better position. I would. :icon_mrgreen:

Being greedy and getting 22 goals is a lot more tolerable than being greedy and getting 7 goals.

Did you watch the game ? a simple pass to mulgrew 'in space' 2nd half rather than a 30 yard shot, could have been a real chance of 2-0 right there. Lennon seen it and took him off.

    Yes.

Looks short of confidence but that final chance was criminal. Balde or even Pukki deserve a game ahead of him at the moment.

I don't see Stokes as being greedy, he's actually not greedy enough. People are jumping on this Stokes not passing to Derk bandwagon and calling him greedy when he sets up goals every other week rather than shoot from 25-30 yards. I don't mind Commons being greedy, but i seen Stokes body language after Commons took a 30 yarder rather than a simple pass and It seems like he was pisssed off with not getting enough service to get a goal.

Aye, that was a really tired effort - I agreed with the sub to be honest, keeping Stokes on and taking Commons off.

Admittedly, however, we could have played down the left for about 10 hours today at the time Commons took that punt and no-one would have been on the * end of it the way we were going!:smiley-laughing002:

In addition, I suppose it's also fair to say he's warranted having a shot from distance being (by far) our top scorer, and also having broken the deadlock from similar distance.

You're not really suggesting that Commons made a mistake and the manager took him off for that are you? Commons who is our top scorer, Commons who has been carrying us all season, Commons who has been our talisman for months now, Commons who actually scored today?

Lennon took that man off because of one mistake?

If you look at the replay when stokes is running he looks left and right to see who's there, boeriggter is slightly behind him.

if your a striker and your not scoring enough you get dropped for someone who will score then you work your socks of to get back in the team thats the way it should be anyway
