Not that he went anywhere, but today's proof Tony Stokes is back.

Until he goes a game without scoring then the haters will be out in force again.

    People are stupid sometimes.

To be fair he has been really poor for a lot of this season. I didn't want him dropped for somebody else because he hadn't scored in one game. I thought somebody like Balde who looked a lot more hungry for it deserved a chance, but today Stokes has been class and here's hoping it continues.

Just shows the difference of having a strike partner, Griffiths been great as well unlucky for his goal that was wrongly ruled off.

Pretty poor today, hat-trick aside. Drop him for Sammy.

3 goals? Not Celtic standards sorry, drop him and if he doesn't score whilst on the bench sell him.

We all know goalscoring machine Balde is miles better.

Will probably get complacent after scoring 3 today. Should still be dropped. Do it when we need it and score 3 against Aberdeen.

Done today what must people hoped he would do when Hooper left the club, score goals. Some folk say he isn't a natural goalscorer or he's more some position from football manager. Today's goals would dispute that fact and his stats from last season. Some have said the introduction of Griffiths was an influence. Stokes has always had that type of goal scoring ability. He was in a poachers position for the 2nd goal today and got himself in decent positions a few times, something he wasn't doing earlier in the season.

Seen today what a goal scoring influence he can be and hope to see a lot more in the remaining games.

I don't think Stokes playing alongside Griffiths and scoring a hat trick is a coincidence. They could form a good partnership.

He was having a poor season league wise but all of a sudden it's 10 goals in 20 appearances. 1 every 2 games. Not bad.

    Totally agree with this.

Stokes has been playing the width of the park up front recently, and today that almost shrunk to the width of the penalty area because he had a partner to play close to.

I can see Griffiths being a good thing for Stokes.

Hope they start together at Tynecastle.

None of this Pukki and Samaras nonsense.

Biton needs to stay in the team as well.
