Should Stokes be dropped?

What is the Hight from which he is to be dropped from and is there a raffle to see who gets to push him of the edge? I think the main stand roof it slightly higher and half time against Aberdeen is as good a time as any.

I'll have 2 tickets if there is.

I mentioned in the match thread about the incident at the end. He had a game full to the brim of wrong decisions, along with a few others. Stokes kicked up a fuss about being dumped on the bench for big games. Folk branded Hooper lazy and Stokes deserved his chance. Well when Hooper left it was Stokes chance to step and be the main man. Instead of being that main man, Commons has taken on the mantle.

I couldn't * believe how * he was yesterday...*, I can't believe hot * he is for whole season. I really really can't stand him now...EVERYTHING he does seems like a weird solution and only sometimes, very few times it works. Sick and tired of him. He is the one who should be playing in friendlies and getting 5 minutes not Balde. I even rate Pukki higher who also don't score goals but at least his decision making and runs are much better.

 

He deserves to be dropped purely for his shocking decision making when he should have squared it to Boerrigter. Even when he took it round him, he was never going to score from the angle he was at, and he still tried to shoot. As I've said on numerous occasions now, Balde has had to sit and watch as Stokes and Pukki have disappointed quite a bit this season, it's time he was given a fair crack of the whip to prove himslef. Sadly, I don't think we will see that happen.

 

Kello did well not to foul him, maybe that was what he was expecting. But really he should just be slotting that past the keepers feet.

 

I personally think he shouldn't have been so greedy and should have passed the ball to Boerrigter.

He's been very hot and cold this season when he's played. Some of the games he's played in he's not scored but has had decent link up play. I actually thought he would be having a decent season as he got off to a flier by scoring our two goals in the league opener against Ross County, but he's kind of died away.

I'd like to see him play alongside Griffiths and see how he gets on. If still hot and cold then drop him and maybe start Baldé.

I think this is a stupid poll. The manager and his assistants will
have the whole week to watch , their strikers in training . They are in
the best position to know who to pick and who to put on box. By attending
the games and training sessions the management must be in a better position
than those of us that have watched matches on a bad link.

 

Yeah he should not because I think he's * but because I'd rather see what our other strikers can do. Stokes has proved himself to be a decent player and will typically get u a minimum dozen goals a season so we all know his capabilities. Time to give some other players a decent run to see if they're any better.

 

What about the people who went to the game and watched him put in a poor performance?

The poll isn't stupid at all, it's an opinion poll. Of course it'll have no impact on the manager's decision to start him or not but this is a forum. We'd be pretty limited if we could only discuss things related to Celtic that we were in the best position to talk about.

 

Its long overdue for Griffiths and Amido to be given a proper chance up front.

Pukki and Stokes should both sit on the bench for the next couple of games and only be taken off if nothings doing by the 2nd half.

How can it be long overdue balde and griffiths are given a chance? Griffiths hasn't even been with us a fortnight...

Don't get me wrong, I think stokes should be GIVEN SOME TIME OFF to step back and regroup, and hopefully removed from the pressures there at the moment he'll come back better for it. But for me, I'd give balde and pukki a game or 2 with griffiths on bench behind them. But I'm not manager/coaches and I don't see how stokes trains or interacts...

 

I don't really like any of the current front players bar Samaras but there's not much point on playing him as he's off in the Summer. Stokes is is certainly better than Pukki and Baldi though, so no, I would keep him in the team with Griffiths.

 

Playing Stokes and Griffiths would probably mean dropping either Forrest or Commons, that's not going to happen.

 

Jesus * - Samaras is the top of the pile for you still mate?

 

Would that be your only reason for not playing him?
