i went to the cup final game in hampden in the summer,,,paid a small fortune to get there and in to game....i spent the whole game on my feet...the crowd in front of me were a 'singing section crowd' ... they were told to stop singing rebel songs! and they decided to stand up all 90+mins....it was a nightmare.

seems to me a lot of these singers..have a major problem with the rule of law.

Well I was there too and the atmosphere was phenomenal that day and we won too so you'll find no complaints from me and I'm a wee guy as well :celt_2:

If you don't want to sing then don't but don't moan at other folk for singing as there supporting their team rather than simply spectating (not aimed at you btw fella)

ye ok, but, you have to see that the people that do not like/want singing...have the same rights as you's?

Obviously they do. However I do not see why you would want to go to any football game if you did not want to hear anyone singing. It happens so deal with it and don't complain.

You've lost me there. I genuinely have no idea what you are on about ?

Who am I tarring with the same brush ?

If you don't want to hear singing then don't go to a football game as it's 100% certain that you will hear singing at every football game.

some people 'do' go to games and dont want to sing or hear singing...thats what they want...they have rights..same as you.

what makes your opinion more acceptable ?

It's an insane opinion. People sing at every football game in the world. How could anyone realistically expect to go to a football match and not hear singing? It's just not a feasible opinion to have. I can understand why some people don't want to hear rebel songs, but no singing whatsoever? Madness.

Well my opinion is not more acceptable but why the * would you oppose a couple of supporters singing 'Hail Hail the Celts are here' ? If you don't want to hear singing then I don't think Football is for you as singing is inevitable.

They don't need to sing (I don't know why they wouldn't want to but I suppose that's their perogative) but there is no need to complain about other 'supporters' (not spectators) singing as it is their perogative to sing.

That's a wee bit of a generalisation of republicans is it not ?,
I have been going to Celtic Park since the 86,my supporters bus could be considered as ''Republican'',now these are guys who have watched celtic through thick and thin all their lives and sung rebel songs while doing it,if i was to tell them that Morganbartlet says we've to stop singing the rebs at the game i would be asked one thing ''Who the * is Morganbartlet ???''
What gives someone the idea that they can tell the support what to sing, or to stop what we've been singing for over 30 years,
Most of these songs are older than me,if you dont like it i suggest you bring some earplugs to the match.

And how do you know this ? It's so rich for you to call anyone a simpleton with posts such as yours E.g "* off back to Ireland"

I guarantee you wouldn't spout your nonsense in any Celtic pubs or games as you would get a good kicking. But hey you have the safety of being behind a computer screen...

Just remember you are in the minority here, however if you were to wander over to Ibrox then you would sure as * be in the majority.

No-where in his post does he say * off back to Ireland.
Anyone who gives out kickings to someone for having an opinion is a moron.
If you're saying he's in the minority because of the poll results then you're wrong. It's more of a split. There isn't enough of a gap between the 'yes' and 'no' votes for either to be considered a majority.

I'd like to think that Celtic fans could have a debate with each other in any enviroment and on any subject without someone 'getting a kicking' for their opinion.
With that attitude maybe you should take a wander over to Ibrox..

Anytime there is Republcian songs being sung at CP, there is always someone with something to say or to complain about so it is giving the club a bad name, I would much prefer we supporters sang songs about our football team, it is football after all.

The ''* off back to Ireland'' quote is from a few pages back,
Hard to believe it came from a Celtic supporter.
