Should McManus Be Captain On Return?

You can probably tell by my username what my answer is.
The reason McManus is my favourite player is because he is one of those guys who would bleed for my team, and he has done, many times. Unlike some of you, I remember his performance in the San Siro against Milan. I remember the game against Man Utd. I remember his performance against France in Paris. People don't seem to realise he hasn't played with a half decent left back in his whole time at the club, and he often has to cover for them.
The captaincy probably came too early for him. 24 is a young age to be captain of Celtic. He'll be better equipped now though.
He'll be an important player for us in Europe, as his strength is when we're playing deep.

 

he has leadership qualities. he does. And while he ain't everyones cup of tea, he tries.

Bobo brought out the best in him i feel. He needs to play along a good partner because it is clear that he doesn't need time on the ball, he shouldn't have a choice to make. No nonsense- an effective, settled partner could do the business.

If you have any real feelings for the club McManus, please stay well away from Parkhead. You are simply not good enough.

I would have to say no. I like McManus. He is a true Celt and one of us. But at his best I never felt he was a great Celtic Captain or player. He always gave 100% to the cause yes. But I just don't seem him ever even reaching the heights of being a dominant center back at the spl level such as say Mjallby was in his day.
