The very problem is that too many people expect instant success. It's okay to expect that when you're the likes of Man United and have millions in excess to splash out on quality, but we don't have that. We are a huge team, stuck in a small, * league with no money.

Who's saying that Lennon needs sacked ? - My gripe is hearing Lennon saying we were brilliant tonight - Please Neil the fans are not stupid. As long as we have players like Majstorovic Brown etc were going no place fast.

Get a grip you. You don't need to accept his opinion as he does not need to accept yours. No need for name calling like a wain.

Who cares about bombs, bullets, bams and bigots? We all feel for him going through so much last year. But, it will never protect him from abuse and possibly the sack for turning out *. The whole squad looks uninterested just now. He is the manager. Who's fault is it?

There is dishing out abuse for a bad result(s) and then there is crossing the line and just being a complete *. I think the other guy that posted that profanity laden rant against Lenny crossed that particular line.

So it's too much to ask to win the league against a skint Hun side and actually manage to beat a team who finished in the * bottom half of the Swiss League? :38: We've not just been knocked out, but we've been demolished 3 times. If you think that's good enough then you've got way lower expectations than me.

As I said, if this was a foreigner in charge instead of Neil Lennon then there would be a lot more blame towards the manager.

    resign in the morning neil

:54::31::31::31::31: * was that all about ? phucking joke, last season we accepted it as he wasnt in the job long but this ? come on no european football again. maybe i was one of the daft ones who actually thought we were going to go through tonight sion are no better than a phucking pub side ffs. neil we gave you time as you were building your team at the start of last season but all we have now is to many players who just arent good enough to play for our club. i phucking said coming out and slating the players last week was a bad move as the same players he was slating had to get us a result for us tonight :38: keep it phucking indoors honestly not been this angry in a while where im shaking with anger and frustration. and people will say aye but remember the 90s it was worse. yes i remember the 90s and it was bad but this is 2011 not the 90s if people are willing to accept p1sh then we as a club will go backwards like we were in the 90s.

i honestly just cant believe it :54:

    I'm not picky.
He had from the end of March till about the first week or two in May - not even a month and a half - to work with a demoralised team that Mowbray had put together. I'd like to see any manager work miracles with that PLUS he had an unbeaten run in the league since he took over in that spell as well.

Of course he's still rebuilding. You don't bring in 11 players last summer and expect them to suddenly gell and work like a proper unit that has been playing together for a few years. Then on top of that we had brought in another player in January that's still with us - Commons (I'm not including Ljungberg cos he hardly played). So that's 12 new players - at least - within half of a season that is to gell together.

Last season - on top of bringing all these new players in and to get them to work together - he had the expectations to win against the huns and bring in some trophies. The preferred one wasn't to be (albeit by only 1 single point) but he delivered the Scottish Cup AND we dominated the huns in our matches against them.

I'm sure people had this mentality in the 90's as well and look what happened to us, as I mentioned in an earlier post.

Scottish Cup is a fail is it? Dominating Hun FC is a fail is it? If the league title is the only one thing worth bothering about in Scotland then why do we show support to the team in the other two competitions? Or are those only Mickey Mouse competitions until we win them?

EVERYONE want's the title back but changing manager every year or two years won't bring it back PLUS what kind of competition do you think we'll be up against in Europe NEXT year when/if we win this year's league title anyway? Will be stronger competition than what we faced today and then it will start all over again "Lennon should go! Yeh he's won us the league but no' getting through to the league stages of the Champions League is no' acceptable!" :87:

Certain people will NEVER be happy even WITH us winning the league title.

Lennon & the Board need to go. Club is going nowhere under this regime. Enough is Enough. Lennon might be Celtic through & through like the rest of us but that's not enough. Winning domestic trophies is not enough anymore. I think our fans and fans from the dark side have had enogh of terrible results in Europe. If the bitter rivalry wasn't so deep Scootish football would be finished. Finally, superb result for Shamrock Rovers

I mentioned the 09/10 season because he had 2 months to start rebuilding the squad and analysing what players he had to sign, his target was the Scottish Cup and you guessed it......he failed to deliver. Those wins in the SPL were pointless, Huns had the league already wrapped up and the players played without any pressure......only game that mattered we lost.

The Scottish Cup is nothing but a bonus if you win the league, did we have a good season last year because we won the Scottish Cup? No. It's good to win but the season was still a failure as the Huns got the prize we wanted - the league. The cup is sloppy seconds. The title is the only credible thing worth winning in Scotland, as it offers Champions League entry.

Apparently we were 'brilliant' tonight according to Lenny, I'd like to see what he regards as a poor performance! :31: Scunnered and really disappointed in Lennon.

Yes Lennons management tonight was absolutely woeful but I dont agree that he should be sacked. FFS what is the point in changing managers constantly? Hopefully Lenny learns from these mistakes and continues to develop as a manager. I still have the confidence we will clean up domestically this year if he realises that Stokes is our best player and Samaras is a donkey.

I know hilarious......what an amazing job he's done. Getting pumped out of Europe at every opportunity and finishing behind a skint Huns side.

Hardly Jock Stein esque so far.

Great idea. Compare our rookie manager to one of the greatest managers in British footballing history. He'll never be Jock Stein. Martin O'Neill wasn't close to Jock Stein, neither was WGS. Stein is in a league of his own and rightfully so. It'll take a very special person to ever replicate the achievements of Stein at Celtic.

c,mon boys look at our team there is 1 player over 2m the rest are a million and free transfers and a loan goalie.the people to blame are the board, lack of ambition from the board is frightning.ffs celtic fc with a loan goalkeeper come on.in my opinion we only have 3 good players izzie, kayal, hooper, the rest are average at best.the only time this board do anything is when we the fans get on there back.time for this board to let us know where our club is going.are they backing lennon or not.we badly need a centre half, creative midfielder, target man striker, and a goalkeeper, these players should have been brought in long ago.rant over
