In an absolutely perfect world yes I would like the Celtic manager to have all the qualities that I listed the other day. But I would never turn against any Celtic manager for not having those qualities.

The most important criteria for any Celtic manager will always be, in my opinion, to win trophies and to make the team entertaining to watch. Gordon Strachan delivered on one of those criteria but was found wanting on the other one. That was the problem for me.

The fact that Strachan wasn't a 'Celtic man' was never, ever an issue for me and I can truthfully say that I don't ever recall meeting any Celtic fan who said they didn't like Strachan for that reason.

I cannot believe this thread. How can anyone say we are the greatest fans in the world if we have two bad games and are talking about sacking the manager? :31:
    Panicking much?

I think he should be given until the end of the season. If he improves on last season then he has done well and should be kept on and if this season is a disaster then he should be let go.

Think this is 100% right, i'm not sure he has the intelligence for the problems that face him although his passion is not lacking. No point in sacking him though, that won't help Celtic at this point. Let's remember that we have only started the league, lot more football to be played but SPL title for Celtic this year or dole queue for Neil, i'm afraid.
And ( sorry, i cannae resist) start getting the best out of Paddy Mc Court i.e play the *!!!!!!!!!!!!
    And bring back Zaluska.

I agree with all of the above but i also see why we have threads like this, cracks are showing and have to be mended, quickly.

I am a Lennon supporter, but I think he got it wrong this last few games. I hope he get's it right but if not then we can't keep backing him. I know he's Celtic to the core, but so am I, and I wouldn't dream of managing Celtic, even tho I give my hindsight analysis

Exactly..and even if we do get a manager like that..what will stop him from leaving after a couple years to move to the EPL.

The problem is an Old Firm victory will convince people we’re more than an average side (when in actual fact both sides of the rivalry are poor).
