we cant keep blaming ineperience all the time, if the boards not backing him lennon needs to speak up....putting maj back at cb was a diabolical error....why have we not capitalised on the solid base we had at the end of the season ...the keeper scenario was shambolic ...mulgrew played well at cb last season ..but gets moved back to the wing, sammy,s still here ..still getting paid for nothing ,our strikeforce has not changed since last season , managers catch on to these things...i say give him the first half of the season and if we,re not top of the table ..goodnight..i think pre-season has been very badly handled..especially regarding transfers.....

This is ridiculous, sacking him or him leaving would do much more harm than good. His back-room staff would probably want to leave, they wud have to find a caretaker manager, then we would have to find a permanent manager , players would want to leave...the rut only started a week ago so i doubt the board is prepared for any of that . Thats from basic reasoning . I would only sack him if the league was beyond our reach ..and with lenny i can only assume its going to go down to the wire..or be really close no matter the outcome.

I remain undecided. I will make my judgements on Lenny after this season.

My concern for Neil Lennon is that I fear he is starting to alienate a sizable amount of the Celtic support by making some crazy team selections, I honest find it very difficult to understand why Samaras would ever be picked before Stokes.

I'm not the biggest fan of Stokes, but there's no denying he contributes much more to the team than Samaras has ever done, just look at their scoring records.

We can also look at his appointment of Scott Brown as Celtic captain, again many supporters don't think Brown warrants a place in the team, far less the captaincy. I think Brown is a good player, but like most I say it's wide on the right of midfield or not at all.

I believe his selection was wrong last night, what was wrong with Mark Wilson last night, was he injured ? He was on the bench, so I have to assume he was fit to play.

Once again we saw Celtic shooting themselves in the foot, ten minutes to go and it's 2-1 to Sion, why did Ki then decide to dribble round a Sion forward on the halfway line when their was no defenders behind him, he lost possession and the tie was lost as the Sion forward ran away and scored, shocking decision by Ki.

Of coarse he should stay. But he better buck up his ideas.

We need experience and quality. These wains are good, but to often collapse at the big pressure moments. Like all our European games and the ICT game last year. Their we young arses can't handle it. We need some older heads.

For the people that want to get rid of Lenny- bad call!!! I never expected to do anything in Europe- now focus must be SPL!!!!! Paddy McCourt to score winner v St Mirren- some tight and rough games are coming up now.
We always seem to suffer a bit of jet lag too!

Its not difficult to understand why he played Samaras. He holds the ball up making time for the midfield to support him and the other striker for an attack. That was the aim anyway, but i say he should move on, before he starts getting boo'd off the pitch(when he plays) and get cheer'd somewhere else where he can afford to play inconsistently

He shouldn't have ever been appointed in the first place but, now we've got him, we should stick with him throuh this season and then re-assess the situation.

One thing that is going to * a lot more people off now though is what I called "the cult of Neil Lennon"... Can we cut out all this crap about "We are Neil Lennon" and similar bollocks. The man may be hated amongst a section of Rangers fans because of secterian reasons but most other people simply hate him because he is a *. If he is not good enough to be Celtic manager in May then he should * off.

Yes, they are no doubt 15 Huns because they don't agree with Lennon's managerial abilities aren't they. Sighhhh. :31:

And to be honest I don't even blame them, especially after Lenny's post-match interview where he thought the players were "excellent". :97:

If we are behind by Christmas and the scum are in front with a few points, even his staunchest supporters will want him out. If he's in front by a few points, then he will have turned it around and fair play to him.

We are taking a gamble on his inexperience and naivety.

Last year we only had SPL football and that made Lenny look good. Rangers where * and the other teams are worse. If any of us managed the team we would still have came second.

The players confidence are rock bottom atm, the worst thing lennon could have done in media right now is to talk down on the players, thats my guess..

YES - End of discussion. I have good reson to believe Sir Alex was faced with the sack at Old Trafford when he was in his second year. So now as they say is history.

Europe is great to be in, but any proper Celtic fan would always demand the title first. We never like getting to the end of the year and thinking o we did well in europe but we have come away from everything with nothing just like 2003/2004

I know what you're saying but the Sir Alex comparrison seems to be brought up at EVERY club in Britain when a manager is struggling... There are many, many more examples where the wrong manager was given more time than he should have been and the club has struggled because of it.

Lenny is Celtic through and through but he is tactically naive and he really needs a mentor to help him as he continues his learnig process .

Why would we employ a manager that needs baby sitting ? so basically what your saying is he is not good enough?
And the celtic thorough and through bollox does not get you results he can love the club as much as he wants but it does not win you games

Lenny will be a great manager in the future but he just needs a little help just now . Why sack him so some foreign mercenary can come in and take the money . I would rather have somebody that has CFC in their heart .
