Which team was past their best at the time we played them?

 

Up there as one of the worst performance in recent times, especially the second half. I think everyones covered the feelings on the game, can't really add much to the anger and disgust so I'll take a different angle. Its only a game folks and we would all do well to remember that. The club depend on our support and in times like this support is needed. Questions need answered and the only way they will get answered is when were angry enough to let them know how we really feel. The pictures of the bhoys getting stuck into the players after the game sums it all up. The club will need to respond to this now and lets hope they are big enough to come out the other side stronger and show us they have the balls to fight for everything from now on.

They don't want us angry as it will hurt them so its over to them.

Email and write and let them know that we are not happy campers. We pay their wages and the least we expect is a Celtic team who play the Celtic way.

That image of the fans spitting venom really struck a chord. These people spent a fortune to travel there to witness that *. They deserved better. The players are too detached from the fans and from what the club actually means.

 

I couldn't watch the game (fortunately) and the result seems to be pretty ridiculous. unfortunately it looks like our guys haven't even played football tonight, they made the trip for tourist reasons.

I cant believe the comments from Mogga after the game.

Maybe he should remember these wise words: "Celtic jerseys are not for second best-they dont shrink to fit inferior players!"

 

also, it was not until WGS's 2nd and 3rd season we did the last 16 runs. By then only Lenny was in the team from MON's sides first picks and even he was only in the first last 16 run. The last 16s were achieved with WGS players and most importantly his tactics. I think they were WGS's greatest achievement at Celtic because I honestly think no other manager would have tried the extreme tactics he used. I think fans will only realise this as the years go by waiting for the next last 16.

totally agree, what did anyone see in the first half to say we played well.

i was giving off something shocking before we scored. i then got 'well there you go', i responded with 'well we have been crap'. i din't even wanna say 'told you so' as i was so * annoyed.

 

You a pardoning Strachan from Artmedia becaue in 2005 you feel the same players from 2003 that were there were past their best.

I am saying the same logic applies if we beat Utd in 06 and Milan in 07 its and we cant win against a poor side in 2009 its because the players we have arent as good as they were 2 years ago when they got better results in Europe.

The problem is the guys that can make something happen in EUrope are no longer there. Naka has gone, Jarosik also done well in Europe for us, the guys we have now seem like they are missing leadership and direction.

Im just dissapointed by the way its started Dempsey, I had high hopes under Mogga, I honestly really enjoyed Saturdays game against Utd and wasnt too fussed about the result as the last few seasons under Levein they have picked up points against us.

I hope that Robson comes back OK as he can give us that bite in midfield. I still struggle to see what Scott Brown really offers the team and hoped I would never see Heed in midfield again after WGS left.

I am going to give Mogga time and Im not bothered about the Europa league this season, he is trying to change the style we play and the tactics are new to us although im not sure why the strange selections in games.

Spot on. Our fans should have recognised that WGS was the best around for us and should have given him more credit and respect. Now it may well be that we are going to wait a long time for anything like the success WGS brought to the club.

 

Gordon Strachan is gone, finished, done with get over it, he brought most of that shíte to Celtic park, and mowbray has to live with them as the boards tight as a ducks hole. The simple truth of the matter is we have a poor squad of players and no manager could do whats not possible with them.

 

Most of that team was good enough to win 3 SPL trophies and get to the last 16 in the CL TWICE. So how can players suddenly become *? WGS got the best out of them most of the time. Reading between the lines of your post I get the impression you are agreeing that Mowbray isn't up to the job.

 

I think your reading more into my post than is actually there, Mowbray for me is the best we could have hoped for in a manager, but if he hasn't the tools what can he do. I'm fed up listening to the crap about Strachan he's gone thats not going to change, I never liked him as a manager but I wasn't in the sack him camp either, he got some decent results and theres no denying that, but those who harp on about him need to get thier heads around the fact that his time at Celtic is over and the new manager needs the support now.

 

i had such high hopes for mogga,but after last nights team selection i knew he would struggle to do the job.
why oh why did we just not attack them the scouts must have told them they were not up to much.
one bad result does not make him a bad manager,but when you get the tactics so badly wrong we have the right to know the reasons why.

 

He'll always get the support from me cos he's our manager and I want the team to win, but he needs to start getting his tactics right or the fans will turn against him like they did with WGS.

 

TOTALLY F****** DISGRACEFUL.... I am ashamed to walk into work this morning after that shower of * !
