Yes this fine TV Police Drama returned last night on BBC1 at 9pm and has lost none of its fine form.

Certainly is!
You just have to look past the fact that murder per capita is off the scale compared to other places
But definitely an enjoyable show. :50: :50:Sgt Neppers*, Gyp Rosetti and cidermaster like this. -
Even enjoyed by none other than James T Kirk.

Brilliant one liner in episode 4. In one scene Perez turns away in disgust, shakes his head and says "they think all we do up here is knit woolly jumpers" after hearing Glasgow team taking over case.

Was just making me wonder while watching current series the other day if any of the other characters in Endeavour were in the Morse series? Presumably Thursday was long retired but did he ever appear as a sounding board for him in the Morse Series? And the other DI's - Strange & Fancy - what of them?
I know that Abigail Thaw (John Thaw's daughter) plays the part of Dorothea Frazil in Endeavour, touching link there.
But I presume he never did make it with Joan Thursday? :D I understand he remained a confirmed bachelor (but never seems short of 'action' as young Endeavour!)
(Apologies for the off-topic)
Back on Shetland - I like Tosh (she just needs to lay off the chips!)
Great to see Thomas Malone - Angus from Outlander - in current series.cidermaster likes this. -
Most excellent series concluded last night - I've decided Douglas Henshall is a really good actor - the emotion he displayed while interviewing Duncan (in his house) was amazing!
Pleased to hear in the closing credits that it WILL be back again next year! :50:Last edited: Mar 22, 2018 -

Best series of it yet, IMO.
Some of the acting isn't amazing, but the storylines are brilliant and it keeps you guessing constantly.cidermaster likes this. -

Decent first episode. Looks promising for another good series.
Murders, drugs, hookers, human trafficking, cops cars getting rammed off the road. Some * place that Shetland.D'Ecosse and Gyp Rosetti like this. -

Still a good show but I thought this series was significantly worse than previous ones.
Just not up to its usual standard.
Looks like Jimmy and Duncan doing to get together at the end ffs, too cheesy.Last edited: Mar 19, 2019 -
Love the joke about Scotland qualifying for the world cup at end of last episode

Noticed this was on tonight when flicking through the channels at HT on the football but just skipped past it. Didn’t know it was highly rated so think I will have to dig it out on IPlayer. Is it a series I will have to start from the beginning or able to just jump on, do the series’s link in?
