Here was my reply to some of the comments to that article, what do you guys think?

I have this argument with my epl supporting friends all the time and in hindsight it is ridiculous. Firstly you are comparing teams with budgets that differ VASTLY. Secondly the Epl is riding the crest of a financial wave which will have to come to an end(Praying). The wages and fee’s your diddy teams pay distinctly average players makes it harder for Celtic and Rangers to compete. Despite this we, celtic and rangers, have still been able to compete and even best Epl teams more often than not in the 12 years. So say what you will about the Spl but know that that only reason you lot can even walk around spouting your arogant sh”t is because of over inflated Sky money and rich russian, arab and american sugar daddies. We may lack money but your league lacks soul and heart.

:50: and if it wasnt for sky tv in the 1st place then the epl would be nowhere near at the level it is today. they only pulled away from everyone with sky bailing them out.

Have you seen what that John wrote on there?

Is he saying O'Dea is one of our best players?! :97:

Anyway some of them people that have commented on that site really have not got a clue, we are better than the likes of Swansea, Blackburn, Wolves, Newcastle, Bolton, Wigan and so on, but they just don't want to admit to it.

I cant bare these english 'fans' banging on about the quality of the premiership and how * scottish football is. They dont realise that if Celtic were given half the money the bottom place premiership team gets we would hump most of them. Look at diouf, plays every single week for premiership teams, comes to scotland and is a complete dud, same goes for james beattie.

He only qualify's for the Republic through his Granny so is most likely not a fan either. Pretty sure he is a City fan.[/QUOTE]

Do you even know what you're talking about? Shay is a Donegal man, i played against him in a Donegal schools match years ago, i'm not 100 % certain where he was born but i would be very surprised if he was relying on his granny for international eligibility and as far as questioning his loyalty to his country is concerned, he is Ireland's most capped goalkeeper of all time and a brilliant one to boot. I really hope Celtic get him back as he does not get the respect he deserves in England. He is better than Joe Hart, England's so called no 1 as well. We may be a wee county here in Donegal but we know how to produce good keepers!:celt_2:

Playing gaelic football from a young age helps develop good keepers. Part of shea's garden growing up was a small pitch, big enough for 6/7 a side. Recently the last few months his dad has changed it around.
If/when he signs his dad will fly a celtic flag outside his home on his flag pole as he has done with any club Shea has played with. I look forward to that:celt_2:
