Given... of course he will come to us if the price is right.. anyone due their expiry date who are sitting on the bench always make it known they would love to come to us.
I would rather Forster who is in the making and not on the way out, he has done us well in his first season, I would be happy with someone who has played and is willing to give a good few years... Forster could be that man... Given is already injury prone

YES, is the short answer, are you mental?

Of course we need a keeper, do you really believe with an experienced international keeper commanding our back line at Inverness we would have been down 3-1,

Ok anything is possible but I really believe if we had had Given last year instead of Foster we would have had more than 92 points at the end of the league and would not have lost to the Rankers in the CIS final, both goals could have been prevented...

Given has been a stand out performer in the EPL since it started, for a goalie he is not old, look at Van de sar at UTD and Freidel at Villa both much older..

If he proves his fitness and doesn't cost too much sign him.

    * yes, it would be an excellent acquisition even if it's for only one season.

Even at the age of 35 he'd be amazing for us in both SPL and Europe, it would also give us more time to find permanent solution for goalkeeper position.

Plus it seems he was always keen on playing for us, I'd really like us to at least attempt to bring him here. Wages shouldn't be an obstacle because I firmly believe this is golden opportunity as he's one of the best keepers in the world on his day, would be worth every penny. Can literally be difference between narrow win and a draw/defeat, he can be of great improtance when defence is shaky.

    * right we need a keeper - they can win you the league just as much as any striker or midfielder.

IMO McGregor won Rangers the league this year!!

Theres no thanks button on the site, but I agree with you. McGregor was Rangers best player by a country mile last season.

Think he would be a great signing, another piece of the jigsaw.

Not for me. I don't like the " I will finish my career at Celtic" brigade.

We are not a retirement home.

He was already at the club and left when the chips were down. :shamrock:

I know what you are saying mate but I don't like the attitude of players who think we are here to accommodate their twilight years.

If we are not good enough when they are good enough then they are not good enough imo. Just my opinion but. :shamrock:

I don't think he was, even though McGregor played very well for them. For me it was Jelavic that won the league for them and CS Cup.

    No thanks.

Yes i would take the plunge on a 35 year old keeper as it has been proven by other keepers that they can still play at there best at this age .

However money ,He knows already what Celtic will offer him as they have a top line unless someone else has to put there hand in there pocket like the Keane deal a couple of seasons back.

Wether this is enough for him time will tell ,he has said that when a team like Celtic come calling you don't back the chance ,well we will see how keen he is if this is true ,I often wonder if players like him and Keane would have said the same thing when they were aged 27-28 ,not when there getting on in years.

Nah im sure he was let go because he was apparantely too small it wasnt his choice. If he is willing to take a wage cut i'd pull out the stops to sign him he's world class.

exactly lad...we have a young core of talented players and it's pretty obvious that we need to surround them and support them with experienced,top-level,quality footballers who of course are not finished articles such as ljungberg so that they can rely upon them when it matters....

this way we're going to develop our younger core, this way we're gonna give them much needed confidence and eventually make them better to carry the load......

shay given and robbie keane are that kind of players,leaders....bring them in and also find that type of player for the CB position....
