I really think forster is the best option, he is 23 and has only played 2 full seasons of first team football. All he will do is improve.

But as somebody else said, he's not injury prone, he's just had one bad injury, it happens, and now he wants to get over it. And the only way he could come is by taking a wage cut, definitely.

Always amazes me...... would i rather play every week in front of adoring fans for maybe 10 grand a week.....or not play at all but earn 40-50 grand a week.

now for someone who's not got a lot of dough then you go with the high wages.

but like keane, bellamy and now given...they are already very wealthy wealthy men.
wouldnt you go with career satisfaction now.

Hmm, but their lives have probably adjusted to being suited to the type of money they're on, taking a huge drop in wages may mean they can't afford to live that way anymore.

    His injury records says this:

09/10 Out from 24-4-10 till 1-7-10 reason: shoulder injury

07/08 Out from 9-2-08 till 11-5-08 reason: groin strain

    Not that many injuries actually.

If he really wants to come and play for the tic then he'll accept a massive cut.

    it's not like he's gonna end up under a bridge with £25,000 - £30,000 a week...

People are just presuming that he wouldn't take a drop in wages, using keane or bellamy as examples is just stupid neither supported the club when they came here so you wouldn't expect them to take a pay cut. Given is a real support who doesn't seem like he cares about money but we will not no unless he signs so you cant really say wether he would or wouldn't

Nah he's second choice and barely second choice at that. In my honest opinion the man is head and shoulders above Hart and thats not me being biased. He's proven himself in England for the last decade and a half. I think the fee would be pretty high and the only reason United, Arsenal don't buy him is because City would not like to sell one of the best GK's in England to a rival club and give them a hand in winning the league. I think City would like to see him leave England and would accept a cut price offer from us rather than an extraordinary sum from Arsenal, Manu....etc wages are the big stumbling block though.

if players love the club as much as they say they do they wouldn't mind taking the wage cut thats what annoys me about players like keane who say they love the club they've already made there millions in football so should be more than willing to take a wage drop to play 'for the team of their dreams'

this would be a fantastic signing. i cant understand people not wanting him to sign. he was injured for a few months this year. pure accidental injury. hes not injury prone just ask steve harper who must hate the sight of him after been his understudy for about ten yrs at newcastle. hes 35 which for a keeper is in his prime. hes well aware of the financial situation at celtic and hes not gonna hold the club to ransom. he wouldnt be dropping hints about joining celtic if he wasnt clearly interested. we would be gettin a world class keeper in his prime who has 5 good years ahead of him who also happens to be a massive celtic supporter. this is a signing all us celtic fans should be beaming with excitement about. our defence would also benifit so much having given behind them. please celtic board do all yee can to get him in a celtic shirt :shamrock:

Exactly and that's what I mentioned in an earlier post. If he wants to play football but doesn't mind taking a huge wage cut to get it then it will prove that he wants to play in my opinion.

If a deal can be made I'd say definitely.

he would be ideal if he isnt wanting stupid wages plus i think if we find a good young goalie to work with him that would benefit us
