    get him in... doesnt matter about his age and anybody who says he has lost it because he isnt getting in at man city because he isnt goodenough is daft because look who he has to get infront of. for me he is one of the top 5 keepers in the premier league only cech van der sar reina and hart probaly ahead of him

    Quality keeper,absolute quality.

    He could easily get another big team in England,If he is willing to come to the SPL then we should at the very least test the water.

    Forster had a good season with us, only thing I have to say is he punches the ball wayyyyyyyy TOO much and doesn't command his box well enough, which was evident in the last old firm game at Ipox.

    Then again he is only 23 years old and got alot to learn.

    Shay Given all the experience in the world at the top level for years, a season long loan with the option to buy at a fair rate is not asking too much is it....?

    An absolutely brilliant player would start for most sides in Europe. We wouldnt have to pay much as he wants out and city dont need money.
    I think he would take a wage cut for us as he isnt in football for the money, I meet him once at his home in donegal and he was really down to earth.
    He isnt injury prone, he had one serious injury this season and that is it. As someone said you dont become your countries record cap holder is you are injury prone.

    given would happily take a drop in wages to join celtic imo.

    he doesn't seem like the type of guy who is only interested in the money.

    Too expensive for me. If we got him on the cheap I would go for it, otherwise we could get someone else in much more cost effective.

    I don't even see the debate, if he wants to come to Celtic and is affordable then we will sign him.

    As much as I like Forster, Given is proven world class and what an absolute coup it would be to have a keeper of that ilk playing for us. It would even make the club a more attractive prospect to other potential targets.

    I can see the pieces falling into place with this one and Desmond being a major catalyst, it wouldn't surprise me if there has been personal contact already.

    Would take him if City weren't asking too much for him. Could see him taking a paycut as he's a Celtic supporter. Not too bothered about his age either.

    Would take him before Forster and Westwood any day of the week! Guy is a top keeper and in this day and age 35 is nothing for a keeper. See Brad Freidel, Mark Schwarzer and Van der Sar.

    i feel we need a keeper who can save us form droppin points like the beast has done for them . we need someone like artur who could pull of that wonder save that kept us in it

    Given could play for another six years. He is world class, a celtic fan and he wouldnt be too pricey after a season on the bench abd would take a pay cut so lets do it Lenny.
