Don't think he's been fit for more than a month at a time in 2 seasons here. I'd give him one more chance and if he's still on the sidelines more often than not he must be punted.

Yes of course he is injured alot but I think McCourt is up there competing with him for that accolade. Apparently he's too keen to get back playing and is trying too hard and that's why the injuries keep re-occurring. Hopefully all of our injured lot can get a couple of months rest and be ready for pre season. I just want us to get behind all of the players this season, injured or not :50:

sorry an unpopular view here but i think as a man he's rotten!!

i was against re-signing him in the first instance due to the fact in my opinion he showed the club a lack of loyalty in terms of leaving after his POTY season,
despite sitting on his * for the two seasons previous with serious career threatening injuries while Celtic renewed his contract despite his injuries he gives one season and thinks that he's paid the club back!! * joker!!
and lo and behold the wee * is doin it again look he's a decent footballer no doubt but arent we getting sucked in to the absence makes the heart grow fonder argument again same as what went on with O'Dea? i dont believe the team actually misses anything that he brings to the mixer!!!

I am however biased to this argument because i truly cannot stand maphoney
he flatters to deceive and has low moral fibre he's a player who polarizes fans opinions so he clearly cant be all that but please guys lets have some clarity here
and dont build him up to be the missing link who'll sort the team shape out cos he wont he's a decent player who done the dirty on the club and slipped back into bed with it before the duvet got cold and for that i'll never forgive him

Some people simply cannot see the wood for the trees. He is a Celtic player whether or not you like him as a man or a player doesn't really come into the equation. He did move and return again, there is no denying it, he has had injury problems, but if and when he pulls on the first team jersey again, Celtic fans everywhere should get behind him. The team must be supported, we all have our favourites and we all dislike some players but we should support whatever team is wearing the Hoops.

I think a fit Maloney makes for a better starting 11. He creates cheances and scores goals, simple. Hopefully a good pre-season, injury free of course, he will have a good impact next year. I honestly think that when he and McGeady are playing together they play better (assuming McGeady is still here)

Short, sweet and to the point Marco :56:

If you add in his medical expenses to his wages and transfer fee he must be a pretty expensive signing!

whits the sleekit eyes for? i support the team not the man!!
i'm not lookin for approval from anyone on this forum im airing my view on maloney im well aware that he plays (loose term here) for Celtic but that dosent mean i change my views on him for the 90 minutes he's on the park!!
until he's consistently producing for the team and playing to a standard expected of him my expectations of him remain low because i simply dont think he's a good enough player, i dont agree with how he has treated the club as a comfort blanket when it didnt work out down south for him back to Celtic as if they were an auld tart that always takes you back despite misdemeanours, im sorry but the wee mans a long distance from redemption and in my opinion he hasnt got it in him to get it out him
sell him at the first available opportunity we've enough passengers who are fit and ready to play never mind the perenially injured no doubt he'll retire through injury at some poinmt then expect us mugs to pay for his testimonial as well!!

have u seen a handsome hun
it reminds me of phil o'donnells time at celtic park....robbed of the best years of a career thru injury.
like phil, shawns a fantastic player.....but if yer no fit then we cant afford anyone not to be pulling their weight.
