He's only like 27 or 26! Providing he divorces the treatment table and rekindles his form he can still play a big part at Celtic.

Especially if he may be out again with another injury from last night

hope its not a lenghthy 1 for his sake and the team if mcgeadys sold were short.. seems his injurys are taking over..if he was in any other job and worked as often he,d be let go simple and he is on a lot more cash than id care to emagine,,give him a tuff medical and see what happens. its becoming a joke

Reluctantly i think the time has come to consider selling him. This is his last chance. Your man Craig last night said it might be a confidence thing?

Don't think he's anywhere near "match sharp" after a long lay off. Needs a good 5-10 SPL games to get back to his best and therefore has been cruelly exposed in the CL. I think we had better options who should've started last night but if he stays injury free he'll be a good player for us.

I agree with you here, I think he has been thrown in a little bit at the deep end and alot of people have expected too much from a guy that hasn't kicked a ball in 9 months! As you said, he needs 5-10 spl games to get back to the player we know he can be, if he can stay fit!

Ye it's a shame, he was a terrific player for us that season, thoroughly deserved the 2 POTY award he got and goal of the season for that goal (although I prefered his goal against the Huns)

Great wee player and better than mcgeady. If he can stay fit this season he will prove that.

I have always hoped wee Maloney would make it and liked him as player, but yesterday was it for me, I would sell him, not durable enough and his game was lacking!

WELL SAID!! I have no qualms what so ever about any players wanting to better themselves, take Petrov for instance he was upfront and most of us respected him for that and if he was to come back I would welcome him with open arms. Maloney shat on us big time and i still get so angry when i think back to the way he went about it! Sell him now

Flatters to deceive, does Shaun Maloney. Personally, I think all the injuries are taking a real toll on his ability to play for lengthy periods and, given his lack of effective contribution on the pitch, we should be considering cutting our losses.
