    The worst defenders I can think of from my lifetime would be Gary Gillespie and Mark McNally. Big Shane is getting very close to being added to that list.

    Still not good enough. Didn’t make any costly mistakes tonight but his lack of pace will lose us goals.

    Was one particular moment last night he gave away a foul (possibly the one for their goal) where anyone with even a moderate amount of pace would’ve beat the Lille player to the ball. He looks like he’s running through cement.

    The less said about the handball the better...

    Yes he did. All he had to do was usher the boy towards the corner flag, guy was going nowhere, but he dives in, clatters the boy, yellow card and a free kick in a dangerous area.
    So many of goals we concede come from needless fouls in dangerous positions.
    Send him back in a few weeks and start bringing in proper center halfs.

    I like seeing the team together in the celebrations.

    Big Duffy, if our defence was protected properly, like the Huns's, would be a decent signing because whatever about his limitations on the ball, with proper delivery from set pieces he'd always be a threat.

    Reason being a lot of you do not know how good of a player he is when he is on it. The lad has a had a difficult year on and off the field. Lets hope that is him turning the corner.
