What’s the Katie Price stuff got to do with anything? That’s pretty pathetic if you’re holding that against him.

Gotta be honest, loved when Celtic had 2 big * off no nonsense defenders like bobo balde and big mjallby, commanded everything in the air and getting past them at times was like running through a brick with big joos valgeren aswell

and didn’t think they were beckenbauer with the ball either

if anything O’Neill was a wee bit too much into the no nonsense defenders so actually think having a Duffy type alongside a big julien who has a bit of finesse and can play a bit is a good mix

What Neds are at the club? Tbh our team is the total opposite, full of nice boys . Not a scrap in any player apart from Broony. Thats why we have been bullied off the huns on a few occasions.

Tbf mate, love the wee man as a striker and probably a decent wee guy aswell but Griffiths certainly fits the ned element, tanning bottles of buckie, scoffing tunnocks tea cakes, n kebab s arguing with people on Twitter and tik tok and pumping anything with a pulse, as a say sounds a nice wee guy and seems really popular with the players but can see why people would say he’s a bit of a ned

last total ned to play for us Anthony Stokes, good striker aswell but be very surprised if hes not punted by Livingston before the season s oot, that’s probably why he was punted as soon as Rodgers the rat was in the door

Why can't people just believe an Irish international from Derry is a Celtic fan without doing a forensic analysis of his past tweets :giggle1:

Celtic are set to announce the capture of Shane Duffy after the player signed off on his loan switch.

The defender will join up with Neil Lennon’s side when he returns from Republic of Ireland duty next week, having agreed a move from Brighton. Record Sport understands Duffy has forced through the move after insisting Parkhead is the only place he’ll leave
the south coast for.

The Seagulls have been forced to back down from their initial demand for a £2million loan fee, with Celtic now expected to pay half that while picking up around 50 per cent of his £45,000-a-week wage.
Duffy was expected to seal the deal in Scotland but had to do so remotely as he would have broken the

Republic’s Covid-19 squad bubble had he travelled.

He got the all-clear from his medical yesterday and completed the paperwork before flying out to Sofia
as Bulgaria await in the Nations League tomorrow.

Duffy, 28, will return to Ireland for Sunday’s game with Finland before heading to Glasgow and could make his debut away to Ross County a week on Saturday.

West Ham and West Brom wanted him but he had his heart set on a move to the team he grew up supporting as they chase
10 in a row.

BRIGHTON have agreed to cut a loan deal with Celtic after a personal plea from Shane Duffy.

The Republic of Ireland defender is set to complete his dream Parkhead move in the next 24 hours.

The Scottish champions are expected to pay a loan fee of under £2million and will cover around £25,000 of his £45,000 weekly wage.

But Brighton are still taking a hit after agreeing not to hold out for a big- money transfer to interested Premier League rivals.

Duffy still has three years left on his Brighton contract and could have fetched around £10m for the club.

West Ham and West Brom were both keen on the experienced 28-year-old stopper.

But the defender has a close relationship with Seagulls chief executive Paul Barber and made it clear he only wanted to leave for Celtic.

SunSport understands Brighton bosses agreed to make the deal happen as a thank you to Duffy for his sterling service.

The Irish defender is a cult hero at the club following four successful years at the Amex.

Duffy has dropped out of boss Graham Potter’s plans but remains a popular figure with the hierarchy at the club.

And they agreed to his wish for a Celtic move after securing Ben White on a four-year contract extension.

The young centre-half was on loan at Leeds last season and was the subject of a failed £25m bid from Elland Road gaffer Marcelo Bielsa last week.

Potter will now replace Duffy with White in the Seagulls’ 25-man Premier League squad.

Duffy is currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland but his Hoops deal will be completed imminently, barring a late hitch.

He is expected to start for new Ireland boss Stephen Kenny for the first time against Bulgaria in Sofia on Thursday night.

He’s then likely to face Finland and is due in Glasgow early next week to prepare for Celtic’s trip to Ross County a week on Saturday.

Duffy is understood to have undergone medical tests while on international duty and is likely to officially join Neil Lennon’s men before the Nations League tie with the Bulgarians.

He will become their long-awaited replacement for Jozo Simunovic, who departed in the summer.
