He has some obvious shortcomings that are a real concern for me, but he offers something different.

I mean I haven't seen anybody expect him to be as good as Maldini. I know it was an exaggeration on your part but the idea anyone expected him to be composed on the ball or great at passing has never been evident, on here at least

No one has voiced that expectation.

As been said his pace and passing aren't the best , lets be polite, but because he came from the epl we had to pay epl prices to get him in, on loan just. So from the start I've wondered how our scouts couldn't have identified a big no * about CB that we could have bought outright, who would have probably cost less as well. But he has tightened up the back so it's worked so far, big test coming for him v the orcs though. Although with no crowd that might actually help.

I wouldn't say that he has been a disappointing signing, no.

I knew that he was a 'limited' player, but I am surprised that he is so error-prone; I expected him to be more assured. On the plus side, he has looked extremely dangerous in the opposition box.

I dont think its any major coincidence that all three of our central defenders have shown signs of being prone to the odd error.

I think there are issues in our defensive organisation.
Julien showed also that he is a threat in the opposition box, but that there can be inadequacies in our own box.

I'm wondering what the back 3 against the huns will be. Big Julien on the bench today so must be ready to start. Julien,Duffy and Ajer if fit probably

I think we could bully them and win the game from set pieces. Julien and Duffy. Turnbulls balls into the box.

I think set pieces could win the game.

We need a big no nonsense header of the ball against the huns, as their game involves a lot of crossing in from the wings. Last season Katic doesn't score the winner at Parkhead if Duffy is playing.

Thought he was motm today. * would deck his own granny if somebody kicked a ball in the air in front of her.

    Love it.

Very strong, especially in the air.

Couple of decent long balls, but his passing can be a tad off.

Couldn’t give a monkeys chuff if he can’t pass the ball he does the defensive work brilliantly, blocking, tackling and wins everything in the air. Been crying out for that. Great signing.

We’ve a full team of passers but all they do is pass it side to side and back the way. It’s * brutal to watch. Our next game is going to be about getting in aboot them. Duffy is first name on the team sheet every week for me.

A non existent creativity in midfield/attack and people lash Duffy for not being good enough with ball at his feet, ffs

My only concern for the huns game is the ref punishing him esp against el fluffallo..as he likes to go to ground as soon as shadows collide but he's defo the defender we've all been crying out for. No complaints from me since he's been here.
