    It’s partially down to Duffy’s salary. By coming on loan for a year he’ll earn his full Brighton salary before taking the wage cut that would be required to sign here permanently.

    It’s the best possible deal from a Celtic perspective, as if for any reason it doesn’t work out we’ve not splashed £6m to sign a 28 year old permanently. I think he’ll be great here though.

    Yeah if we have the option to buy we get the first option as it will be in the contract, of course it will still be up to the player if he accepts.

    Better deal for Duffy tbh, he’ll get his EPL wages whilst playing for the club he supports going for a historical Title winning season. We’ll get a season to see if it’s worth parting with another 4.5 million.

    Only loser is Brighton but if all the noises are correct they feel a duty of loyalty to him and he’s pushing hard for Celtic over WBA and West Ham.

    As far as I’ve been told it is a loan and no option to buy. I’ve messaged source to see if option to buy was discussed on today’s call.

    I would also take anything that Agent Scotland says with a pinch of salt. A known bullshitter

    Duffy won’t physically be in Glasgow to sign over the next few days as he is on international duty. Everything will be signed remotely.
