You used the phrase "They don't was us jeopardizing their top 4".

The top four you just listed doesn't exist, so what would be jeopardised other than your fictional notion of what the English FA considers the top 4?

Their top 4 insinuating the biggest top 4 in England, not the finishing of last season.

The thought of a Champions League group table with a wee St George's cross next to Celtic FC just there has completely turned me off it. :56:

You've yet to explain why you think the English FA holds Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal & Man Utd on some kind of pedestal.

Why would they care if those aren't the top clubs in the league?

I'd say the reverse is true and the likes of Man City, Spurs, Southampton, West Ham and Leicester challenging at the top of the English league shows their is healthy competition unlike many other European leagues which are dominated by one, two or three clubs.

Would much rather have our league improved. * * sky ruined us, by pumping gazillions into engurland. Should be dishing out some funds here, and then we'll see improvements bit by bit.
Sky aren't interested in us in the slightest. Just the games vs the zombies.

Genuinely couldn't think of anything worse than us joining the English leagues. Stuck in no mans land winning * all , no Europe , no real end goal , and plus we don't * belong there .

We are on old school European giant who has a tradition of playing in Europe ( much like your Ajax, Feyenoord, Benfica, Porto ) . We also have a tradition of winning domestic trophies and enjoying fierce and relevant rivalries with other Scottish clubs . Go to England and say goodbye to our traditions and hello to big spending mediocrity? No thanks . Lets stay here , build our new team , play in Europe , hunskelp and win 10IAR.

Why do you think that would be the case?

Currently every single Premier League club has an income that dwarfs Celtic. Bournemouth for example can out do Celtic in the transfer market in terms of wages and transfer fees.

If Celtic moved to the Premier League they'd be able to significantly improve their squad and compete towards the top of the league, they'd also have a better chance in Europe if they qualified as the team would be better.

The Scottish league has stunted Celtic and teams like Southampton are able to pluck all their best players.

How many Celtic players would get in Southampton's best XI? Probably none, if Celtic were in the Premier League Southampton wouldn't be in the position to take players like van Dijk, Forster and Wanyama.

You seriously have a chip on your shoulder mate, simmer. Going on to others forums to moan.

The big teams in England in terms of revenue and notoriety are: Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea. Man city are still playing catch up (hence why they have a lesser shirt deal with Nike) and benefit like P.S.G from investment through owners.

Tottenham aren't anywhere near these teams in terms of shirt sales, sponsorship, advertising and notoriety - fact. Yet, they are much farther ahead than the likes of West Ham and yourself - no offence but you nowhere near those teams. As much as you'd love to believe that.

Too many fans conflate media income (which is a given with BSkyB) and being a big team. Every team down south thinks they are a big team but that obviously can't be? It would take years and years - decades even, in order to shift the top teams in England not by league success but just in popularity.

If you think the Scottish football system is bad enough against us imagine how bad it'd be in the English league. DD wants this as it would be a huge money maker for him and the club.

Don't want it though, would effectively be selling the soul of the club for more cash in a bubble which will one day burst.

I'm not sure where you are going with this! If you read what I said without taking it out of context as you have done, my post was a reply to someone suggesting that the English FA have an agenda where they want to keep the status quo of a top four of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool. That is clearly nonsense and there is no evidence to support such a claim. Or do you have some...?

This is often said by Scottish football fans over many years, but I've yet to see any of them outline how this will occur.

The Premier League has been going for 24 years and is growing with each new TV deal. What set of events would burst the bubble?

It could plateau at some point when it finds its max market, but I don't see how interest in it is suddenly going to disappear. What league is the world going to watch instead and how would we get to a point where the Premier League drop below Spain for example in terms of worldwide interest?

Massive no thanks,it would be a bad bad move..........Also the British Cup would be a waste of time, total waste of time.
Lets see Celtic knock English teams off their perch in European Competition in the next 5 years as we keep defending out title up here.
