You must be a mind reader JPAUL :icon_mrgreen: I have always admired Kevin Thomson from a distance, and when he played alongside Broony at Hibs they were dynamite together. They weren't called the Twins for nothing :56:

However, I do have someone else in mind if we can't get Thomson
who is cut from the same cloth.

People who described Joe Ledley in such a manner were missing the obvious, that he is a quality football player, who does simple things really well and is always available to help his team-mates. I really like players like Ledley, I think Neil Lennon used to do a similar thing (whilst being a different type of player). Always available, simple things done well, nothing complicated if you don't need to. Guys like that allow other players to get on with things and can be relied upon to do their job. Ledley allows Izzy to get forward and provides cover for him when he does it. That has led to some really good football from us this season.

Scott Brown was probably the most creative midfield player in Scotland when they were together at Hibs. He could be again quite easily, but he is playing on the right because that is what is best for the team. Tommo did the same thing, though on the left. He preferred to play inside but knew that what was needed was someone to stay out wider. Proper players do what is asked of them, like Joe Ledley playing left back when we needed him to.

Ki isn't half the creative midfield player that Scott Brown can be with the right people beside him, but try telling that to the youngsters today.

Exactly mate, I have never had one bad word to say about Ledley I think he is class, but for that time November/December Ki was quite clearly our best player, won player/young player of the month and was on top form, a few 'iffy' performances recently but trust me his talent will shine through. Might be this season, might be next but to say sell him on the basis of a few games I dont think is right.

Broony the most creative midfielder in Scotland? Are you on the windup?

Certainly not, when Brown and Thompson played together at Hibs they were an excellent midfield partnership. Thompson played the more holding role and Scot Brown the more creative, breaking from midfield. That's why both we and Rangers wanted them.

Scott Brown was 21 at the time btw.

I would argue that Beuzelin was the creator in that midfield. Thompson being the water carrier and Brown providing the attacking thrust.
