We have 8 games left to play to win the SPL and we are in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

I don't believe we have the luxury to do anything other than play our best team. For me Ki isn't in that.

I know you shouldn't really look to much into stats etc, but thats really interesting, i guess that shows brown's influence on the team?:50:

I haven't said he is. I'm saying we shouldn't * and neck him out the door.

I actually think he is stronger and tougher than he looks. His passing when he's on his game is quality but I would have Kayal and Ledley ahead of him any day of the week. Give him another season to prove himself then think about cashing in, he said before he arrived that he was using us as a stepping stone to the EPL anyway. Not sure about what length of contract and wages he's on

    in a 5 man midfield he seems good,in a 4 not good

maybe he could be of use in the CL next season right enough, just seems to lack the fight to play here.

would like to see him play in front of a midfield 4 behind a striker.just to see how good he is in that position

Some very interesting interpretations of 'statistics' going on here.

Please have a read of this and maybe this before making any future claims that 'the facts speak for themselves'

Logic follow that if DV thinks £2m was a rip-off, we are hardly going be able to get a price higher than that.

The thread title is silly because there's clearly a vast difference between 'accept a good bid for Ki if it comes in' and 'actively seek to punt Ki'. I thought that would have been pretty clear.

Exactly. Seems like some folk cannot see that there is a middle ground between punting and him and playing him every game. I'm not sure why not :54:

Yeah, you see it all the time, players have spells in the team then drop out etc... Ki can be a good option and doesn't have to be either a key man, or punted as you say

Good to have on the bench to bring on and tighten the midfield when seeing a game out.def shouldn't be starting in a midfield 4 more suited to a 5 man with ledley and kayal along side him

I thought he was one of the poorest players on Saturday, however, I think he deserves to be in the squad, I don't see the point of just punting players unless they are truely awful but if they can do a job for the team then there is no harm in having him around.

All these threads sell Ki, sell Cha, sell Brown etc are beyond belief, at times like this we should be thankful for having a good squad, come the end of the season if we can get better players in any position then we should be looking to get rid of a current player in that position but we shouldn't be looking to sell anyone unless we have a ready made and better replacement lined up.

Every player has their price, that still doesn't mean we should just punt a player, especially a player that is adding something to the squad.

I don't think he is good enough to play for Celtic and if we sell him we can then use the money and bring someone else in.

Gary Hooper cost us about £2.4m, Beram Kayal about £1.2m, Izzy about £650k, Kris Commons about £300k, Joe Ledley about £300k.* All of them are better in my opinion. That's a total of around £5m, for half a team, all of whom should start for us.

Sell Ki and we can bring in better and keep developing the team.

(*From memory, sorry if some of them are wrong)

That was some very astute business. Ledley was free because of the cross border rules, Kayal and Izzy were genuis scouting.

Do you think we would get a better player to be an option on the bench?

end of all right. He's going nowhere for now :50:

We have far bigger things to think about just now okay, so we'll see what happens with regards to ins and outs in the summer. But he's not going anywhere now. How I would love him to pop up with a crucial goal :50:

For the money we think we would get for him, absolutely.

Don't ask me who though, that's a matter for John Park and his team. Personally I think we already have better options, as I said earlier it might involve moving Scott into the middle beside Beram, or Joe. However for me Forrest is ahead of Ki, Maloney is ahead of Ki, Juarez is ahead of Ki. I genuinely see him as eighth choice for our midfield. That might even be a bit unfair on McCourt, McGinn and Ljunberg.

Forrest, Maloney, McCourt and McGinn are never CMs.

Forrest, Maloney, McCourt, McGinn ahead of Ki? In CM?

"That might even be a bit unfair on McCourt, McGinn and Ljunberg." was being ironic, sorry if that wasn't obvious. I thought it was by the way it was written.

However I do put the other player ahead of Ki, that's my opinion and if you think it worthy of derision fair do's.
