He's just an idiot who wears the armband, never a CELTIC captain in a million years.

Don't agree, he had a swipe at the aberdeen fans as we scored straight after they had, then a half-hearted leap towards the celtic fans, taking out a linesman on the way.

    Totally staged and forced.

I'll say it again, no passion for Celtic.

See what gets me is, even when he won his POTY award, I cannot think of a single game where he put his stamp on it, said 'this is my midfield, this is my game, and it will be done my way', which is supposedly what he is famed for doing for Scotland, for instance.

When playing for Scotland he can get away with all that running around which is all well and fine, because (and I don't mean any disrespect here) Scotland have only modest ambitions and from an international perspective, are a mediocre team. Put it another way - if Brown was born in one of the bigger European nations would he make it to the Spainish, German, Dutch, Italian or even English national teams? Doubtful.

So in that environment he can take lumps out or go toe to toe with an opponant, and he gets this image across of the fierce 'Braveheart' warrior, punching above his weight. He couldn't function in some of the better teams because he is too much of a loose cannon, and there is no place for players like that in teams that are well-oiled machines.

some ballox there. broony is one of the best in the country.
IF he was born in one of the countries you mentioned he would have been coached different. SO is it his fault or the coaches

    no offence :50:

Oh, I agree. There is a huge problem in this country in how talent is nurtured, but that is a thread for another day, but I would imagine that it wouldn't be hugely different to the way it is down south, or at least far more compareable with down there, than across in continental Europe. His biggest asset is certainly not technique. What you say is indeed a sad indictment as to the state of the game here in Scotland, if Brown is indicative of as good as it gets here.

if we are getting shot of him i would the money doesn't go towards Kamara that money can be funded elsewere.

fair play the guy probably only has 1 good game in 20, when we first got him i thought it was a good buy i bet most people were thinking at the time Donati and Brown would tear it up and i wouldn't blame them as i thought that, but both have been a huge let down and one has long gone.

i know Brown had his reasons couple seasons back with his sister it must been so hard back then but either way he hasn't looked at improving in any way, did we hype it to much? was his price tag to much for him to deal with?. who knows

but if he is to be sold it would pretty much been of grave importance that N'geumo is signed up while also looking for a cheaper big huddlestone like player that way we would have enough cover for the CM area of the pitch, selling Brown to fund any other area of the pitch would be a mistake as there is no telling what could happen with N'geumo, if the worst happen we miss out on N'geumo and used the funds to buy Kamara and a LB that would only leave two regonised CM in Crosas and Ki, Zheng Zhi dispite TM talking him up so much is probably off aswell, IF Brown really needs to be sold make sure N'geumo is signed first and then look for another CM in the mold of a Huddlestone

Can't really vote yes jsut keep N'Guemo. I would sell if we could recoup what we paid, 4.5-5mil and spend it wisely on a creative midfielder for maybe 3, then buy N'Guemo unless there is better. Doubtful in that price range though

    ASAP!

He's never going to deliver for us. The only reason people have voted 'keep Brown' in this poll is because of the 'dig' he has. We love it up here when someone gets stuck in, I love it too, but Brown is dire. Should've kept the ginger messiah and punted Broon.

I would get rid of Brown. In fact the only midfielder I would keep is Crosas, he's a footballer

Complete rubbish. The fact he is Celtic captain makes me sick in all honesty, Mowbray has trumped Strachan's worst decision of making Mick captain ten fold. At least Mick knew he was a limited footballer, Brown thinks he is something when he never will be.

    Voted keep broony!
He's only 24yrs of age and is one of best young Scottish midfielders we have at the minute, along with Darren Fletcher.
Since he has returned from injury I've seen some good solid performances from him and is probably the only Celtic player capable & confident enough to wear the armband.
