What point were you trying to make with the first quote?

OK 1 point would have been that I seen no other reason why you would be saying the thread was ridiculous.

    Soldiers song
    If I know my history.....

The context of the "IRA" in that song is reference to the early IRA in the South of Ireland who fought against harsh British rule, not the IRA which bombed London etc which in considering its context isn't much more offensive than "The Flower of Scotland"

Like a lot of things people take things out of context just like what the Pope said about the Prophet Muhammad earlier this year

    Is sectarianism ok?

    The answer is NO

You don't need a * poll to find out.

'sectarian = a bigoted or narrow-minded adherent of a sect.'

Yeah and I just wish the argument about whether sectarian songs should be song or not was over because I am getting sick and tired of it.:celt_2:

As a member said in the gm forum, a thread on what constitutes sectairianism is a good idea but not is sectarianism a good idea. This thread has turned into petty fight and so is getting closed. What Greendave suggested above is a good idea for a thread though.
