What are you saying you seem to be against sectarian singing and not for it.

The world has gone PC mad for example I could make a "don't call christmas lights christmas lights" thread and people would agree with me

The facts are there are people who will be offenced by everything and anything if singing a hymn at a celtic game is banned I should just dig a hole

    You're all missing the point.

As Graham pointed out, there are many protestant Celtic fans amongst the supporters.

We are a club which has always been for everyone.

Rangers operated a sectarian signing policy for over a hundred years.

    That is the difference.

If you sing sectarian songs you are not just offending some people you are slagging fellow Celtic fans.

I could agree on that point but it should be up to people if they want to sing sectarian songs they can and I agree that you are slagging fellow Celtic fans but if Rangers fans were offended don't you think they would have reported us by now they are far more protestants in them than us.

    True.

We were founded to raise money for Irish immigrants.

How does that make it ok to sing sectarian songs?

The club was never meant to be exclusively catholic, in fact quite the opposite.

    What is a sectarian song?

Our songs are political not sectarian.

And imo songs such as the Boys of the Old Brigade have no place in CP in this day and age.

Good point but the same point could be made with Rangers its sectarian to sing some English/British songs but it is not to fly the union jack.:celt_2:

christ did sweeney get banned for expresses his opinion? if so thats pathetic!! * political correctness, theses songs have passed down are generations and no one can take tat away, im fine with rangers fans singin there songs its good in my opinnion because we return the chants and thats what the worldwide famous old firm rivalry is about, the pride, tension and the atmosphere. lately with the crackdown its just not the same(also us being in a league of our own doesnt help). i agree religion shud not be involved in this and its unfortunate!

He got banned as he was banned before under a different username and shouldn't be back. An IP check proved this.

No one gets banned for expressing their opinion.
