He's done well as an impact player off the bench but never really grabbed his chance when starting last season, he's definitely got ability but not showed it enough. Keeping in mind when we signed him he was desperate to get out of russia, it's possible he's come here without being quite 100% on the move as you'd like player to be, and just hasn't fully settled.

If he doesn't kick on and we do end up selling him soon at least we should make a reasonable profit, after getting him at a knockdown price because of the russia situation.

 

I like him but he was pretty anonymous.

 

Fairly good technically, but he's horrifically slow for a winger..

 

He suits the left side against deep defensive teams, he doesn’t have the pace in open games like today on the wing. He would suit playing in the middle though for those types of games.

He didn’t get involved much but Abada & Maeda were always the ones making the runs.

 

Just lacking something, isn't he? Got great technique, can beat a man, pick a pass, obviously hits the ball nicely as we've seen. But it just doesn't add up to a really effective footballer. Goes missing too much and seems a little ponderous on the ball.

 

Bet he's an unreal fives player.

 

Was saying that to ma pal, futsal would be player.

 

He's not a winger, if he has a future here it's in the middle, but I hope he isn't considered an option there for the upcoming season.

 

He's the type of player you want to do really well but know deep down it's never going to happen.

 

Still not really sure what he does particularly well. Just seems to cut in and pass the ball across the pitch on a regular basis.

Not quick enough to play out wide and not hard working enough to play in the middle of the pitch.

Hope he proves me wrong but I just don’t see anything.

 

In fairness, he’s been played out of position for us a lot but I don’t think he’s up to it. We need better than him, simple as that.

 

He's clearly got something, but its almost like he's playing a different game plan to the rest of the team. Everyone else is trying to move forward as quick as possible, but everytime he gets it he wants to slow the play down and check back.

 

At the moment I would be tempted to use him as an attacking midfielder against the lesser teams in the league when we have CL games to rotate the squad and see what he can do with a run of games.

However, I like him but starting to wonder if it’s going to work out for him.

Really don’t get why he’s hyped so much with some of our support. He’s miles aff it.

 

Never seems to take his chance. Frustrating player. I don't think he has the mental drive to be a top player.

 

I want to see him get a couple of games in behind the striker before writing him completely off he's clearly not got the pace to be a winger for us

 

Just don't see it with him.
