    CELTIC will face St Johnstone at home in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup. Brendan Rodgers' side opened up the defence of the trophy they've won for the past two seasons with a 3-0 win over League One side, Airdrieonians, at Paradise on Saturday.

    Scott Sinclair scored twice while Timothy Weah netted on his first-team debut. Now the Hoops face another home tie against a St Johnstone side who knocked out Hamilton Accies with a 2-0 win at McDiarmid Park.

    The sides will face each other twice on league business before their cup meeting - at Celtic Park on January 30 and at McDiarmid Park on February 3. And earlier this season, the Hoops beat St Johnstone 1-0 in a League Cup in Perth, followed by an emphatic 6-0 away win in the league.

    Celtic's Scottish Cup fifth round tie at home to St Johnstone is scheduled for the weekend of February 9/10, 2019. Further details to follow.

    Decent draw. I think a win from that is likely. Rangers won't be happy with Kilmarnock away, that was the draw I wanted least.

    Cup quarter final tannadice VVD sent off for nothing * ref knew it would rule him out the LC final the following week.

    Celtic appealed and it got over turned!

    We would be favourites for literally any possible draw in this competition so a win in any game would be likely.

    Sad but true. If I seen he was being a wee * and no giving 100% for the team I'd send him to the reserves and fine him his killie pie and chips lunch for the season anaw.

    Anyway.....decent, but difficult, draw for us. Always more difficult playing the same team so close together several times also.
    Becomes tedious for all. Sure we might even drop points in the league....But we will hammer them in the cup.
    New players should be settled nicely by then and chomping the bit for a euro spot

    Plastic pitches should be banned and were never good on them injury hazards , lets see how 34yr old davis and 36year old defoe when asked to turn on those pitches league midweek and cup now , creaking bones.probaby wont play.
