    Henrik Larsson (obvious choice ehh?)
Forster; Van Dijk; Ambrose; Matthews; Mulgrew; Lustig are all better than your defence mate - no offence.

Midfield wise I would say it is close. However the likes of Boerrigter; Johansson Biton and Commons are much better.

Just now I would say fair enough, your forwards are doing a decent job and because ours are not performing to the best of their abilities, it makes it seem closer. However, Pukki should come good, he is tried and tested in the Bundesliga. Balde its too early to say. And Stokes, when on his game, is better than anything you have mate.

Possibly, I'm not sure- but if he is then he should loosen the purse strings a little then we'll see what these pretenders are made of :50: :icon_mrgreen:

well we did and he is still here and he give the cash to alex miller and we have never recovered from it. but we have invested in youth system and its starting to come good. for me local lads makes it all the more pleasing. im just saying that compared to previous years quality players going threw your doors at moment gives us hint and belief that the gap will be closed right down.

You have a decent team, made some good acquisitions and you have a good manager. However as well all know in cup competitions anything can happen.

Celtic have a ridiculously poor record in the cups in the last 3/4 years. The reason being our players generally aren't as motivated as the oppositions are, its a problem we have to address because it happens far too often.

However we are leagues ahead of Aberdeen quality wise, 21 points clear, by the end of the season it should still be 20+. That does not reflect a small difference in quality.

I want Aberdeen to finish second, i want them to do well because for me they are the only Scottish team apart from us who can actually make it to the group stage of a european competition. Next season with us in the CL and Aberdeen in the EL we can finally start to build on Celtic's recent achievements in Europe.

In addition if what Lawwell says is anything to go by we have substantial funds to spend in the summer after our recent interim report. This should allow us to hopefully strengthen without losing key players.

You never know, seeing success this season may force a different reaction from him, they talk a good game i'll give them that..

You have had a few come through in last couple of years, cheaper and easier when it's homegrown but a problem you have is youngsters like Fraser and fyvie * off at the first opportunity..that shouldn't be the case with young local lads who have hardly established themselves..
Honestly your clutching at straws if what we're bringing in is your case for optimism, we will always bring in quality that overall is much too strong for you or anyone else in Scotland to handle, that will be ongoing every season even if the unlikely hood of you challenging did get close!

Aberdeen have already lost 7 league games this season ( including losing to 2 of the current bottom 3). If Motherwell win their game in hand they go second. I don't think I 'll get too worried about them finishing above us in the league just yet.

Last season I think our points tally was 78 points or so. Right now it's 66 with 14 games remaining :56:

    I agree.

They chanted a lot of about Lennon but none of it was actually malicious. "Lennon Lennon get to *" is nothing to cry about like some are doing.
