Anyone else get annoyed at the constant use of Sinclair as an example to put down our club and league?

So many times, whether on Facebook, Radio, Twitter, Youtube etc, I've seen people use him as an example to put us down, as if he's *. Does my head in

They'll always find something to try and put us down just so happens that they've picked out Sinclair this time. They seem to forget that he was excellent while he was at Swansea and that Brendan was his manager there. According to them he's only doing well up here because the Scottish league is so poor, it couldn't possibly be because he has a manager he's worked well with before and knows how to get the best out of him.

I always find the * go quiet when you talk about how * the English Championship is when one of the players of the year last season (Barton) struggled in an average, third placed team in the Scottish Premiership, and how he even struggled to get a game for them...

Sinclair showed the exact same form as he is now for Swansea under Rodgers in the EPL, who knew how to use him properly.

If you play an out and out attacking goal and assist threat at left back what are you hoping for? Aston Villa descended into a sham of a club and they didn't deserve a guy that had played for both Chelsea and Man City by the age of 23.

Will never understand why Celtic fans of Scots in general take get annoyed by the opinion of English football fans.

They're a laughing stock to everyone in Europe.

It's because he's English, that's all. If he was foreign he would have sympathy for not doing well for Villa but because he's English and didn't get a call up he will never be respected by his own country. Which doesn't bother me because even Sutton only got one call up

    This.

Being from Ireland I am surrounded by them and I treat them the way I would treat a Hun - with absolute contempt.

The CL is never boring for me when Celtic go out as I actively support whoever is playing the English sides and I enjoy their misery immensely.

    Tinpot league with tinpot fans.

I just don't know why people fall into the trap every single season. It's always the same. When the English teams get eliminated from Europe they all start to try and tear down Scottish football. It's so predictable.

These are the same idiots that somehow think Messi hasn't proved himself as the best because he's never played in their league. The same league that Claudio Ranieri won comfortably with Danny Simpson and Mark Albrighton as starters.

All that money, viewers, exposure etc. And they're so insecure they try and slag the SPFL :giggle1:

A chara, I take unbridled joy whenever an English team fails in Europe, just as I do when their national team fails. However, I'm also cautious enough not to show any particular emotion when they're slagging off Celtic or the SPL as I don't want them to know it bothers me.

Tbh as much as a I hate English arrogance, it's Irish EPL fanboys who I detest even more. Seeing Irish people prancing around calling themselves 'mancs' or 'scousers' give me cringe off the Richter scale.

    It's a post-colonial syndrome, I think.

Over here there's an unconscious belief that English/Brit culture is superior.

Aye you get those * here as well. Constantly slagging off Scottish football because they see themselves as above it while supporting a plastic EPL team they have no reason at all to support other than being a glory hunter. Most of the one's I've came across support ManUre and suprise suprise have never been to Old Trafford but will give me * for supporting Celtic. It's always funny asking why they support man u though they always come up with some * like "they're the first team I watched" or "I have lots of family there" rather than just admit they're a glory hunter. Honestly have more respect for the huns than I do for them.

Just mention the * from up here who played/play in the EPL... Daryl Murphy, James McArthur, Graeme Dorrans, Charlie Adam guys who wouldnt get a game for us.

Scott Sinclair would be the best player in the English Championship easily if he signed for one of those teams in the summer. Last time he played there he scored 27 goals.

I knew a boy who was a Man United fan born and bred in Glasgow, claimed he supported United cause he used to watch Match of The Day when he was 5 years old :87:.

He knew absolutely * all about their history, didn't know the name of their training ground, or the manager before Alex Ferguson, couldn't name any legends, the absolute definition of a Glory Hunter. One of my pals had Sky and invited us all up to watch the Man United Arsenal game along with this * obviously, it was the game in which Hargreaves scored that stunner of a free kick and he just sat there and everyone else was like what a goal and everyone turned around and looked at him and his reaction was yay swear to * "yay".

Same happened during the League Cup final think United won it on penalties? Aye it was penalties, game against Tottenham had to google it. He never watched United take a single penalty everyone was saying Man United are taking the next penalty Gibby and he said cool and just stared at his computer screen doing some other *. :87:

Sounds like a skidmark, but this is how I look at it: would you want someone like that following Celtic?

I hate part-timers and plastics as much as a I hate the Huns. Let them 'follow' as many EPL teams as they like as long as they stay well away from Paradise.
