Finish was superb today, his pace is so important to us on the break. Massive player that we need to keep fit, we would look a lot less dangerous without him in the team I think.

Scott Sinclair reveals Brendan Rodgers told Celtic players 'we need to be tougher' after perfect domestic start ends against Inverness

Scott Sinclair revealed Brendan Rodgers has told his Celtic players to toughen up after their flawless start to the domestic season came to an end.
The former Aston Villa winger claimed a place in history with his goal that put the Parkhead club 2-1 up at Inverness Caley Thistle. Not since the legendary Jimmy McGrory had a Celtic player scored in each of the first five league games in a season.
Sinclair, though, wasn’t in the mood for celebration. Despite a second half almost completely played in the home side’s half, Celtic were hit with an 89th-minute sucker punch from Alex Fisher.

Rodgers wants his side to ensure they capitalise on the dominance of matches as they look to build on a three-point lead — with a game in hand — at the Premiership summit.
‘He was just saying we need to be tougher,’ said Sinclair, when asked what the manager said afterwards. ‘We didn’t lose the game but we should have won it.
‘He basically just said we need to be tougher as a team going forward — and also more clinical in putting the chances away.
‘We shouldn’t be going into every game needing to win four or five nil every time. If we can’t get the third, we should have won the game 2-1.
‘It is very disappointing. When we came in, all of the players had their heads down. To draw the game felt like a loss. When we came in, everyone was just so disappointed.
‘But it’s still a point and we just have to move on to the next game.’
Sinclair had not known he could equal McGrory’s record yesterday and insisted his focus was simply on extending an impressive start to life with Celtic.

‘It’s great for myself getting into that run of consistency and my confidence is growing with each game. When you add them both together, you can say I’m enjoying my football.
‘I said when I first came here I wanted to both score goals and provide. If I’m doing one or the other, then I’m doing my job. It’s just basically to help the team.’

Easily the best all-round player we have in our squad today. Brilliant so far.

We should nickname him 'The Sink'. It has a real vibe to it.

Instantly improved our play going forward when he came on. :50: Couple of wayward shots , quite unlike him.

Teams just don't really know how to handle him up here when he runs directly at them.

    Tin hat on.

Think he's been largely anonymous for what seems the past 3-4 games. I'd like to see him picking the ball up wider and running at defenders more.

More like Motherwell in the cup, than today's performance.

His movement is basically making this full team click for me. He moves central and defendeds have no idea who to pick up.

    Tin hat on indeed.

Our best player in Barca, made all the difference coming on against Alloa and scores his 7th goal in 7 domestic games today.

He is a class footballer who has been a superb signing for Celtic.
