I remember barely 2 years ago we seemed to have too many of them and folk was still crying out for more.

Sinclair, Mikey, Forrest, Arzani, Shved, Dembele,

Now we have two crocked in Mikey and Forrest, Ely who is and isn't a winger at the same time and everyone else in the club is deemed worthless.

    I miss Sinclair.
Certainly got a hard time of it, but then he was playing against packed defences and teams doubling up on him. Yet still managed to get the goals and assists.

Treated disgracefully by Lennon and Lawwell.

Was on huge wages so that’s always the way they deal with it, look back at when Strachan took over and we had numerous players on huge salaries. Though Bobo was eventually played which stopped a dismal run of conceding away from home.

Did we not extend his deal just to get a fee for him, but * it and then dropped him from the team?
Or am I remembering that slightly wrong?

Yup extended his deal so they could sell him but I’m sure he refused to go where they agreed.

I’m sure you’re right. Lawwell is constantly pulling * like this with our players then people wonder why players don’t want to play for us.

Sinclair and Boyata are two recent names that done well for us but were treated like * dogshit by Lawwell.

He gets away with it because he knows the fans will always turn on the players first.

Then he signs a Shved or Klimala, players that are just happy to be here and stay quiet on a fraction of the money.

    Sickening.

Former Celtic winger Scott Sinclair reckons he set the bar so high in his debut season at Parkhead that he struggled to clear it in the years that followed.

Sinclair was one of Brendan Rodgers' flagship signings when he arrived in August 2016 from Aston Villa and a winner at Hearts on his debut instantly endeared him to fans.

He finished that campaign as the club's top scorer - finishing just behind Liam Boyce in the league charts - while scooping both the Scottish PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year honours as well as an invincible Treble.

The chant to the tune of Scooter's 'Ramp' still plays in the back of his mind but after moving on to Preston North End in January of last year it's all a distant memory now.

And Sinclair feels he found it hard to live up to the high expectations he set himself as he struggled for game time in the closing stages of his career in Glasgow, particularly after Rodgers' exit and the subsequent re-hiring of Neil Lennon.

Sinclair told The Times: "Being at Celtic gave me some of the best moments of my career. I absolutely loved it

Given what we did in my time there - doing the treble Treble - I feel we couldn't have done much more

All the accolades that came my way - winning Player of the Year, being top goalscorer - all those things that happened, individually to me and collectively as a team, just made it very special.

"Plus, the fans took to me straight away, and every single time I stepped on the pitch and heard that song they sang about me, it gave me such a buzz. I think it is only when you look back on it, then you can really see how special those times were at Celtic

"I think that, because I set such high standards for myself in my first season, it became an issue of me keeping up to those standards.

"In my second season I still got goals, my tally was still OK, but some felt I was dropping (my standards).

"If you set the bar so high - like in my opening season - then you do have to try to maintain that. I felt that, even when I was going through a dip, I was still scoring goals."

Sinclair ended up making just two league appearances in the first half of last season - Lennon's first full term back in charge, after being hired on an initial interim basis in February 2019.

"It then got to the stage where I was in and out of the team, even though I still felt that, when I played, I'd make something happen," Sinclair added.

"I do still think that people (judged me by) my first year at Celtic, and how unbelievable it was for me. But things change.

"Someone has new ideas, and obviously my time was up at Celtic. I had to take up a new challenge and I always want to stay true to myself. My last six months at Celtic were a tough time but, at the same time, I'm gone from there now, and I'm enjoying my football again."

Could say he was the start of the downsizing. Sincy was absolute class would love an option like him on the wing right now. Lack of wingers coupled with a shambles of a defence has killed us this season.

Sinclair is the definition of a player who needs a good manager. Pity we hired Lenny and let him go. Delighted see him doing well again.

Lost so many goals from wide places.

Cracking player and agree with what he says.

    That first season was mental.

And that song is the best ever for any player.

Top, top player. What an impact he had up here, probably the most integral player within the Treble Treble team.

We’ve still not replaced his goals and assists which is criminal!
