Scott Sinclair!

I imagine that when Roberts leaves next summer, we may have Forrest and Sinclair on opposite wings. For this year Forrest needs to get his head down and continue his improvement because, barring injury to Sinclair or Roberts, I can't see him getting much game time.

 

Good point. The fatigue levels will be a lot different.

 

Looking forward to seeing him start tonight hopefully, and must give a lot of praise to Forrest he is looking really sharp. A few years back I loved him but he has been * for a few seasons, if he keeps up early form though and gets back to his best Sinclair and Forrest on the wings is the future. Roberts being only on loan.

 

Sinclairs always going to be thinking ahead though, why do you think he played that ball? Was deliberate.

That's the point, Sinclair actively made the decision to start a quick counter, many others would of just cleared their lines and blasted it upfield.

He knew what he was doing before he played the ball, he's always going to start his run before Forrest as he has an instant advantage.

He played a pass, and followed it, what every young player is told to do. Pass and move.

The fact Forrest copped on a tiny bit later is normal, in my opinion, isn't fascinating and is down to the above and probably fatigue.

I just don't think it was a good example of critiquing their intelligence levels, had you posted the post match interview of them both, we'd be on the same page! :smiley-laughing002:

There will be far better examples out there than this one, which for me Forrest does brilliantly in and on another day could of scored the goal himself.

 

I'm not talking about general intelligence but maybe you guys have a point.

Obviously said Brendan was a massive reason for joining but reading between the lines, he also said he's at a stage of his career where he doesn't really listen to anyone else... I think possibly people trying to put him off and questioning coming to Scotland, but I liked that answer..

 

You can just tell he's going to be quality here.
