Anyone thinking McKenna would be coming here as 4th choice is deluded.

    A right back?

    Have you seen left back?

Johnston was that bad I'd argue he's becoming worse than Taylor. Taylor has started having a few good games in a row now.

    Desperately need both, tbh.

Taylor has been better than Johnston the last few weeks.

Not to be harsh on him bcoz he's done really well since coming into the team but McKenna is a better Centre back than Liam Scales is.

He's also better than Lagerbielke, Phillips and Kobiyashi who will all likey move on this window. So no matter what way you want to spin it. It's a signing that improves us. He's also homegrown and will cost about 300 grand so I'm happy with this signing.

I also think he'll suprise people, he's better on the ball than most people seem to think.

Wouldn't be against this at all as long as we not paying over the odds. Would add some real height and physicality to our pool of defenders. Also see a lot of folk slating him for pace which I don't understand as I always thought he can fairly shift especially over distances of around around 10-20yards.

edit: Aye, he turns like a battleship with engine dmg.. but speedwise he's fine.

Aye Taylor at least contributes somewhat, Johnston is a walking yellow card that does almost nothing.

No thanks, only reason we will go for him will be for association trained players. Rather give a youngster a chance.

Be gutted if we signed him, he’s not a ball playing defender so I don’t know why we would get rid of Phillips (loan deal) and sign someone who is the exact type of player

I'm not massively excited at the prospect but folk calling him a carthorse and Duffy 2.0 haven't watched much of him.

    He's actually pretty fast :giggle1:

Think he could surprise a lot of people if we sign him.

Looks like he’s been completely written off already. He’s clearly a player of a decent level and has good recovery pace as mentioned before.

They still think he's a developing player at Aberdeen. He'll imo be like mooy. An ex player from a Scottish team that's went up a level and developed massively in a better league. The difference being he's at peak age and not mooy age. I'd take him. As long as we're still sorting the LB and RB positions out.

We have Johnston and Ralston at right back. He have Taylor and no one at left back.

Both McKenna and CCV would make a physically dominant centre back pairing.
He knows what it takes to beat Rangers as well and is an aerial threat in the opposition box.

We should have signed him before he went to England.

Lota of gunners fans hoping they cut his loan at Sociedad as they are not happy with Zinchenko
