If Celtic cough that up for McKenna after * about for months with John McGinn then they can go and ram it. The person or people who authorised such a deal should be hunted from Parkhead as well.

Mental this money is being discussed for this guy, it makes ma stomach turn he's average at best and does not fit Brendan's passing style at the back, not sure why we aren't looking at the Belgian,Dutch, French markets there is gems to be found if the effort is put in, completely mental it really is, when does buying from Scotland bar the odd occasion like Brooney work out for us?

We have got to get 1 or 2 CB's who are going to fit into our wage structure firstly we wont break that. paying the fee is no problem and McKenna would easily fit into our wages but arguably not really an upgrade and he's only 21 again.

getting an experienced quality CB for price and wage structure is difficult , then we would have to look at young gamble on unknown up and coming CB's like we did Van Dijk on the continent , or a loan or 2 from EPL.

Or we could pay 4 or 5 million for more * on 15k a week or a 4 year deal = * madness.

Pointless spending more pointless money on pure *.

The money we have spent on Compper, Hendry and possibly McKenna we could have had Schar

Any merit to offering Hendry in a swap deal? Hendry is never going to cut it.
This guy may not cut it either but is young enough to develop further & we have made a bid so obviously interested and I wouldn't like us to pay the fees quoted

We do need a realistic wage structure tho, 50K 4 Year contract is about £10.4m before bonuses. It's the wage demands that aren't sustainable for the market we operate in..

The summer transfer window of 2018 is a time that logic forget, at least inside Celtic Park.

If this window doesn’t trigger a full scale review into our transfer policy, nothing will. It isn’t even rocket science either. Lists of players you have some interest in, covering each position, contingency plans in case player ABC goes or player XYZ gets injured.

Instead we’re left turning down £9m for Dedryck * Boyata with a year left on his current deal and no interest in staying, failing to land a talented midfield who was a genuine transfer target, and now panicking and targeting any centre back we can get our hands on while paying over the odds.
