With such a * feeling around the club the now the last thing we needed was to bid for a defender who is not what we actually need. We are a total riddy the now. Aberdeen fans actually raging thinking we are at it with a low bid, he's * pish.

it is all relative, would you prefer I said "not get horsed in Europe"? We should be at least be aiming to be as competitive as possible.

 

Ajax and Lyon made the semis of the Europa recently. It's not beyond us to manage that as well.
So by competing in Europe, I assume folk mean to at least put in a decent showing in cl, get to maybe the last 16, but if not then on to a Europa run of some kind.

McKenna has potential to be a good defender. But he lacks the vital quality we need - EXPERIENCE. Granted he has played for Scotland and is young, but he’s only played one season in the top flight, no danger is he worth 3.5 million - that’s what’s Newcastle paid for Fabian Schar - an international player who has played at the World Cup and also in Champions League/Europa League.

Still 10 days of this window to go, and a lot can unfold in that period, but if it transpires that McKenna is our top target, we are seriously at risk of letting those * across the city substantially close the gap.

I wouldn't be against it if he was a back up/potential type signing. He is so young and we really need a bit of experience the now.

 

Aye defo mate, we need two if we punt Boyata.. him and Bruma would be ideal..if it's only McKenna then pressure would be on him right away especially if we pay £4m..
